The fourth annual Evo vs Sti event is sponsored by the Initial Dejected Forza Racing School


With the success of the 2013 DTM, Zeta0085 and his car club are once again planning another event that TORA members are invited to. I am debating on doing another televised segment. Thoughts and opinions are welcome

Date and time
The event will take place Friday August 9th for Americans, Saturday August 10th for European and Aussie folks.
My Time,  5:30 PM
NY Time, 8:30 PM
UK Time,  1:30 AM

Lobby Setup

• S Class 601-700 PI
  
• Collision detection set to ON
  
• Cosmetic damage unless everyone in the lobby agrees to do Limited damage
  
• Grid will be set to random
  
• End timer will last Two minutes
  
• unsure of splitting the lobby into "teams". For now it is TBA

All cars listed are open to all entrants. Entrants must pick ONE car and one car only.

Rules
*Entrants can enlist the aid of a Backup Driver for the event ((See below))
This is a privateer event.
I ask that the racing be kept as clean as possible. Intentional cause of wrecks will result in a deduction of 2 points per race. If it persists after 3 races, the entrant will be either asked to leave or be awarded no points. If there is lag, the penalty will be waivered.
Headset is optional.
There will be no warm up lap/rolling start on the first lap. As soon as the timer reaches zero, the race begins.
Custom liveries are optional, not mandatory
Racing numbers are optional, not mandatory
REGISTRATION AND CHANGES WILL STAY OPEN

Backup Driver
In the event an entrant signs up and has to drop out due to an IRL emergency, they can sign on ONE Backup driver that will take their place for the night of the event. The backup driver will be awarded points and placed into the standings alongside the entrant they are covering for. Backup Drivers must race the same car setup and liveries as their counterpart.

Manufacturer points
At the end of each race, drivers from Team Evo and Sti will have their points combined for their manufacturer. The winning manufacturer will be announced at a later date and time. In the event there's uneven entry list, points will be tallied based on equal amount of cars ie; 4 evos and 4 Subs

Looks like team Evo is going to win this one at this rate. Also, I'm on board for team evo.

There's been a change to the manufacturer points setup due to more evo than sti entrants.

Also in talks with a friend to come up with original music for either a promo vid or the starting grid.
I might consider adding in a second commentator if someone's interested. It would require skype and a downloaded copy of a barebones replay I'd upload.

How about we do the manufacturer points this way:

Let's say their are 4 STi's and 6 Evos. You have all 4 drivers in the STi score points for Subaru, but only the Top 4 drivers in an Evo can score points for Mitsubishi.

Zeta, if you need another commentator, I would strongly suggest Erebus. An Aussie in the booth would give it a more International touch.
