MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - Lap Times

Dropped a second at Sunset. Now @ 1:38.5. I know that will be considered slow, but its a bunch better than 1:39.8.

Took another few tenths of my best time at Silverstone got it down to a 1:02.185 still more tenths to come off that time!

Hey All ! Just got my wheel, pedals, shifter ... few weeks ago Still struggling with driving it 1.02.5

Was tinkering with builds and tunes last night.

Made a nice build and tweaked a team mates tune a bit.
Started running consistent 1:01 flats with not too much problems and stupidly tweaked the tune a couple more times.
Then loaded the mates tune to get it back to where it was and lost the upgrade changes.

I feel that was the tune that would get me under the 1:01s too so I better damn well find it.

I must remember to save these things as I couldn't get within 2 tenths of it after that

Been there? I do that way too often. Get a tune going real good, adjust it w/o saving, then go backwards.

I usually end up having multiple setups for the same car, for example the Vauxhall Insignia our team worked on last season, I think I had maybe 10-11 different tweaks, 3 being one of the other guys, rest my tweaks.

Helps to write everything down in a notepad, try it, bit of pen and paper to record data and changes can help a lot

So who's gonna make a lap guide for the track to show the best lines around the track?

ill quite happily drive a few laps but cant film it to the pc... if somebody wants to record it and post it then by all means get in touch... will even do a lap each in FWD and RWD if it helps

oh there is a god ! Greg your a lifesaver with that tune/build you sent over last night. After a good nights sleep and a day of painting I put my hand to getting the best out of the new car and in only 4 laps ran a very nice 1:00.790s then on lap 7 was .349s up then got all exited and lobbed it off the track

Thinks I have found my new weapon for the TCC ( cheers Greg owe you one bud A+ )

Ran a 1:00.588 in the 2007 Civic. Consistent 1:00.7-8xx now. Hoping to knock a little time off that and get more consistent. Qualifying is going to be so close!!

It's great knowing that I'm far off some of the best around in the same car. Best of 1:00.7xx but consistently running 1:00:8xx - 1:01.1xx  

Nice times Dan, it's going to be RIDICULOUSLY close in qualifying - I can see whole lobbies be covered by a three tenths lol So many cars and drivers in that 1.00.5 > 1.00.8 region

Unfortunately, I think the best lines vary by car. Depending on drive train, build, and handling characteristics. RWD's are going to be able to take some tighter lines n some corners where the FWD's are going to have to manage the torque steer on exit by taking a wider entry. The tune and build will also affect the line. You can run both a handling and speed build, takes completely different lines and run the same times in the end.

For the record I'm quite far off these times, but I was expecting that at this track being a "clutchless" driver
