I'm getting there, Google Docs is not working at the moment (server error apparently).LastNewtStandin wrote:Good fun in lobby C tonight. Tough but fair,
1 issue though is I saw my position on live timing in race 3 as 8th, I actually finished 4th.
Live timing not currently working though so may be changed already for all I know
Had a lot of fun though
Re: MSA TORA Touring Car Championship - Round 1, 2 & 3 - Silverstone National – September 3rd 8PM BST
No probs mate, Just had to get it in there, I understand G docs can be cruddy and recording the results can be a tough one with everyone chatting etc
We would have had a great race in R1 at the front if it wasn't for someone fusing the lights in my house and me lagging out.
Similar pace and both with good awareness it would have been a good battle.

Disappointed with the lag-spike-crash at the 3rd race on the first lap. I guess I'm misunderstang the rules because 2 of us got hit by the car that lagged and essentially ended both of our races.

Any replays from Lobby B, disappointed with how the racing went, holding my tongue at the moment until I can view the replay's, week 1 and already naffed off, not looking good

Keep that tongue bitten the stewards can sort out any incidents hopefully my lagging out car didnt hit anyone as it was close in the final turn between a few of us.HandheldBee9 wrote:Any replays from Lobby B, disappointed with how the racing went, holding my tongue at the moment until I can view the replay's, week 1 and already naffed off, not looking good

I had a shocking night leading race 1 with just over a lap to go and I lagged out
Race 2 was ok started last but managed to make my way through the pack, had a great battle with beanz with him make his seat oh so wide
Race 3 battery pack went tits up and I left the lobby
I to hope the next round works out better for myself

Very pleased with tonights racing! On the first race I got rear ended and went from 4th to 12th but battled back up to 9th (I think, could've been 10th, live timing is still broke). Race 2 was awesome! from 9th to 3rd very clean passes showing that patience does pay off, even in a quick 15 minute sprint race. Just letting other drivers trip over each other and picking off the places & race 3 made up some good places as well. So happy that I'm staying up for the NATCC Race! My first proper TORA race in well over a year, can't believe what I've been missing out on.

You were teleporting 150ft backwards and forwards ahead of me throughout Race 1 and the handful of laps you completed in Race 2. I've got a very stable connection, no problems with anyone else in C lobby.
Given Forza works on P2P ... it's most likely something at your end.

If you were the car I accidentily turned into to avoid the BMW trying to cut my nose off, then I can only apologise as I didn't realise you were that close because of the rear view mirror glitch.HandheldBee9 wrote:Any replays from Lobby B, disappointed with how the racing went, holding my tongue at the moment until I can view the replay's, week 1 and already naffed off, not looking good

No mate, I saw the BMW cut you up and s'pose natural reaction to flinch and turn away, I got the worst of it as I was on your inside and now met with the pit wall, I'm more interested in the times I was rear ended lost position and that this seems to be an acceptable way to race.CQR HABURi wrote:If you were the car I accidentily turned into to avoid the BMW trying to cut my nose off, then I can only apologise as I didn't realise you were that close because of the rear view mirror glitch.HandheldBee9 wrote:Any replays from Lobby B, disappointed with how the racing went, holding my tongue at the moment until I can view the replay's, week 1 and already naffed off, not looking good

Re: MSA TORA Touring Car Championship - Round 1, 2 & 3 - Silverstone National – September 3rd 8PM BST
There was someone in F Lobby who was causing conn conflict. The source of lag also kept myself from even joining the lobby.TfRsmokinmasta wrote:WE had a massive lag spike/crash in F causing severe damage to 2 of us (i have nice clean A grade line completly open NATS) and havent seen this for a year when live was playing up for everyone. I quit out as the host wouldnt restart due to only being 2 affected as per the rules. Turn 3 on lap 1 with 100% engine and various high numbers elsewhere and unfixable aero, i saw little point carrying on being 3000 ft down before lap 1 was complete before having a pitstop
I am starting to think that a series with close to 100 entrants may be overloading T10 servers, as EVERY time there is a huge turnout, there is also huge lag/conflict/etc. Think opening race of the GTs, opening race of the ISCC, opening race of TCC S7... too much issues to be a coincidence.

perhaps keeping it to 12 per lobby rather than 14 would help a little?

First time racing in a series like this.
Since i am a newbie to the game and its the first race i do not use assists (in fact i am not using assists for the last 3 days) i am happy that generally it was mostly clean and fun race.
Some minor problems here and there but i wont complain about that.
Thanks TORA for this.It was great fun.

Just a quick heads up to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten to do the results. There's a technical problem with Google Docs at the moment. I'm waiting for Google to resolve it so I can get back into the doc and finalise everything.
Thanks for your patience!

Amazing racing last night - most enjoyable race event I've had anywhere in a very long time
After my quali attempt I was fully expecting to be mid-pack in B Lobby so was over the moon when I was told I'd scraped in to A Lobby by .002 sec - sorry Deano (XPR Devil)
Although the lobby was only split by .246 sec I anticipated spending my time tootling around at the back on my own........I should have known better. Although my ickle Honda gets off the line like it's stuck in cement and is very lacking on top end, with this build, it sticks to the road beautifully - as such it turned out to be an excellent race car.
Race 1 saw me profit from the early lap chaos and manage to get myself up to a 9th place finish. Race 2 saw me move forwards again managing to climb as high as 5th at the finish. I was expecting Race 3 to be a different matter and I prepared myself for 15 laps of slowly moving backwards through the field. However, the Civic seemed to get faster and faster and thanks to a nice tow from my clubmate CQR Neon I actually managed to move forwards and grab another 5th place finish!!
From what I saw the racing in A Lobby was of the highest calibe, as I've come to expect at TORA. I had some particularly enjoyable and clean battles with XPR Nightmare, CQR MAGiC and AEFR xScarhandx - bravo chaps
If last night is indicative of the rest of the season this is going to be one hell of a way of saying goodbye to the Xbox 360 and Forza 4...............the only thing I'll miss are the lag issues we experienced, bring on dedicated servers and no more peer-to-peer connections

Re: MSA TORA Touring Car Championship - Round 1, 2 & 3 - Silverstone National – September 3rd 8PM BST
Lobby C was mighty fun last night and very intense.
A lag out when going for the lead in race 1 saw my hopes of 2 wins go down the pan.
Starting from 13th in race 2 getting up to 5th after avoiding a melee in T1 was a nice result.
Had to earn the passes over a couple of laps which I love.
Tapped Magic when he went for a tight line at the last and had to give him the place back for half a lap before doing a Trash mcnish late brake special up the inside.
Race 3, Started 8th and had to pass some strong drivers. Simon and I were close for most of the race.
Once past I had to chase down Wumba & Hainsey. They both defended like beasts and it took me a lot of laps to get enough corner exit speed to complete passes. Wumba was particularly awesome in his defense leaving me floundering around trying to pass round the outside. Time and time again I tried and couldn't get a margin on the brakes to go around. Had to get a run out of the corners and claim the inside. Those Seats I remember from last season are a tad slower on the straights but can hold a really tight line in the turns.
Finished 4th in the end and had great banter and an enjoyable couple of races.
Thanks for Hosting Aero and great job by all the staff / marshalls / hosts last night!!

I think you raced amazingly well, me and you had a small battle in race 3, I think lobby H was by far the maddest and by far the most fun to race in. As a new to MSA events Danae, and a driver for LMP Motorsport, you are one hell of a great and fun guy to race, I cannot explain how happy I was when I saw you racing for the top 5 in the races. I was almost crying tears!DanaeJulTeam wrote:First time racing in a series like this.
