The Xbox One sounds all amazing and stuff but I think they have lost the whole point of it. Personally, I want a 360 improved! Not socially but gameplay and variation, not "Skyping someone when watching a film" I think this video explains it best."

I don't know if you've realised, but all this stuff they're adding is making it an improved 360. This rep system actually sounds really good, much better than "Are they a good player? Y/N". Also the 1000/2000 friends will be very helpful for communities like us (so now we don't need 10 different gamertags to keep people on), and the follow feature extends this. I imagine a lot of people will follow "famous" Gamertags such as AceyBongos etc. Not only that, but the system itself is something stupid like 10x better/more powerful (Magic knows )

Anyway, it's up to developers to make games better in terms of gameplay and variation. No doubt that with Kinect, MS Glass, Xbox Cloud and all these other cool features, the games will be much more varied and innovative in a few years.

The Xbox One could come with a turd in the box for all I care, I'm still buying it. Who is really going to have 1000 friends? I barely have 50, just because I only really have the people that matter, like teammates, actual friends & race hosts. Like social media, people think its important to collect friends/followers

My point exactly, it is too socially based and not about the gamers, who needs an expensive TV? I want a game console that provides excitement, not annoying phone calls!

Hopefully you'll be able to set the Skype to "Busy" or "Away" or whatever so you can't get calls when you're watching a film or playing a game. Otherwise I assume you can just sign out...

I like the extra social features. Now I have fibre optic broadband, I can watch films and TV shows on Netflix or iPlayer with no buffering at all It will take some getting used to, but these changes are for the better.

Yes, Xbox One *is* hugely more powerful than the 360, if that's all you want it to be - 6x more CPU power, 10x more memory, Blu-ray discs with 6 times the capacity, that will enable 1080p HD gaming, 60fps smooth frame rates, bigger game worlds, dedicated cloud servers to minimise lag and NAT conflicts. Just to clarify, Xbox One is 1,000 friends and unlimited follows/followers. PS4 is 2,000 friends, but no follower system, so a hard limit of 2,000. Also, the apps are all optional - up to 4 apps can run at the same time as a game, if you want to use Skype, Twitter, Twitch etc, you don't have to use them, they're just there if you want to use those capabilities.

Quit focusing on the stuff you don't like, just because there are features you don't like doesn't mean you have to use them. I don't care about the social media stuff anymore than you do but there are a lot of great things that I'm excited about.

I gonna get a PC external Hard drive and a Currys/PC World Whatever Happens cover on it, cos incase something does go wrong with the Xbox One, cos if u guys remember the xbox 360 when that came out for the first time.........

and its also a bonus I got a discount for it all cos I work their, there also a big staff offer for the xbox one for Christmas staff discounts, 100 random ppl in currys/pc world will get £85 off when it comes out....I put my name down for it

so, if anyone gets their console at currys/PC world and if they ask for whatever happens cover, I would play safe and put cover for it

You do realise if something did happen to it you just send it back to Microsoft though, i think i had about four 360's over the course of as many years, each time the Xbox was picked up for free and delivered free of charge as well.

It was a pain in the arse having that red ring so often (that's what she said), but the service was top notch!
