TORA Christmas Party?
Just a thought, but would be good to gauge if there's any interest in this:
http://letsrace.co.uk/general-bookings/christmas-parties/
I realise that our members are dotted all over so it's not going to be convenient for everyone (eve most), but if there are 10+ who'd be up for it, then I'd be happy to organise the booking (there's 10 sim rigs). They can accommodate up to 20 "competitors", but additional spectators/other halves can also be accommodated (there are spectating bleachers, café space etc for non racers/down time).
Price: £70
Groups of 10 or 20 only
Briefing at 14:00/18:00
Practice at 14:20/18:20
20 minute break for a debrief using detailed telemetry data pulled from your car, along with use of the Batak
Qualifying at 15:00/19:00
---Lunch break for 45 minutes---
Race 1 at 16:20/20:20
First podium for the team
Race 2 at 17:00/21:00
Second podium, photo of the group to be sent to them in the post along with session results.
Things To Bring
Flat soled shoes, possible change of clothes if you are coming straight from work
Inclusions
1 hour in the simulators, split into 4 x 15 minute sessions
Prizes for the winners
Use of the Batak Wall
Food served midway through your time with us- Christmas food with Bucks Fizz
Crackers
A set of Crystal Racer Trophies or Champagne for the winner (groups of 20 will receive both)
Please fill in this form to register your interest and help me see if this is "do-able"!!

Re: TORA Christmas Party?
400+ mile round trip and around 7 hours in the car - as much as I'd love to I think I'll have to give it a miss
Re: TORA Christmas Party?
See I looked into a karting event before (though when there were alot less members) at somewhere like Milton Keynes, or Birmingham
Re: TORA Christmas Party?
Well that was weird! Just had a rep from LR turn up at my place of work to promote xmas parties!
Re: TORA Christmas Party?
Re: price. I recognise it's not small money, but I would say it is good value for money when you consider their regular price for a race experience and all the separate additionals they're including.
On top of that, I just spoke to their rep and we'd be able to choose which cars and tracks are used because we'd have the whole venue blocked out for 4 hours.

Oh I hate that, 3000 times a day "Bob Dole invites you to play Candy Crush".
C'mon dude, be fun, its Xmas, you have to make sacrifices that's what Christmas is all about!
