Puma V8 Supercar Series Discussion

Okay guys, I am starting a new series with the V8 Supercars.  It will be a set build with NO TUNING allowed.  This will be season 1 and will take place on Friday Nights at 7:00 pm EST US.  The Season will separate Seasons 2 and 3 of my DTM league and is open to anyone.

The Tune for each Car will be on my Storefront.  There is no tuning on the Setup, just upgrades.  The Tune is FREE!

Rules:

Race Setup:
All Assist allowed.
Damage Cosmetic
Race 1 will be a standing Start, Race 2 will be a rolling start. (Single Race nights will be a Standing Start)

Qualifying will be held before each event.  If there is more than 2 Lobbies then the 107% rule that F1 has will be in effect.
Qualifying will consist of a 10 Minute Session. (Nordschleife and Camino Extreme will be a 20 Minute session due to the length of the track.).  Lobby A will be Qualifiers 1-12 and Lobby B will be 13-24.  Also if No One is slower than the 107% cut off then those who qualify 25th on back will not race.  I am sorry but I only have enough people to manage 2 lobbies unless someone wants to step up that I can trust.

General Racing Conduct:
Please keep it as clean as possible, Avoidable Contact penalties will be issued if need be.

Caution Rules
A Caution will only be called when 2 or more cars are involved in a wreck or if someone has flipped.  Once the Caution is called you are to slow down and let the leader pick you up.  there is to be NO racing back to the line or racing of any form once the caution is called.  Restarts will be double file with the leader of the race calling the green flag.  All Restarts will be at the Start finish line.  No Caution can be called within 2 laps to go unless it would imped the progress of the leaders.  If that happens then all cars will be required to STOP where they are.  Once the track has been cleared then everyone will regroup on the leader.  Once everyone has regrouped then a restart will be called on the next straightaway.

Since this is not a TORA series and is run under my leagues banner, you are bound by the rules of my league.  

Sponsorship:
No Tobacco or Adult Related Sponsors as this series will be aired on my Leagues YouTube Channel.
You Can have up to Three Primary Sponsors per car and they cannot be taken by another team or driver.
Dunlop and the Series Logo must be on the sides of the car with a Visible Number. The Number must also be above the front windscreen/windshield. It must also be below one of the rear tail lights. (Series Logo is on my Storefront)

Championships:

Drivers Championship: Awarded to the Driver who scores the most points overall.
Manufacturers Championship: Awarded to the Manufacturer who has the best avg. points payout of the season.  after each round the points will be tallied and averaged between all cars of the Make.
SUNOCO Rookie of the Year: Awarded to the Driver who has the best points payout among first time SORA drivers.
    ROTY Points system will be based on 10 select races with your best and worst dropped.  If there is a tie for best or worst race then you get to chose which one is thrown out.  Then after the 8 races that count are determined the points from those races alone will be tallied and then revealed on the SORA Website.  www.SORARacingOfficial.webs.com. 7pm is the best time I can get because of the time difference from US EST to UK time. it wouldn't let a majority of the people at TORA compete. I wish I could accommodate everyone, but for this series its just not possible. Im sorry.

I left out some details concerning the Livery rules.  They are in bold.  Also the tunes are going up on my Storefront today before the Cobalt SS Cup.

Edit: There will also be pictures of where proper number placement and decal placement should be on my storefront today as well.

Very very sorry, but the Dan Welch Replica I was going for doesn't look as good as the Ciceley Racing replica. So sponsor change...

Thread Bump. Come one guys, I would like to have at least 7-8 people minimum for this.

Windcharger, would it work for you to move to Fridays at 7PM EST? I'm no longer able to hold that time slot, and this would be a perfect fit, and as an established TORA Community time, people are somewhat used to racing here at that time.

No tuning because it puts people everyone on equal ground, plus with these cars they handle good but you also have to drive them, the cream will truly rise to the top in these cars.
