Puma V8 Supercar Series Rules and Schedule

Rules:

Race Setup:
All Assist allowed.
Damage Cosmetic
Race 1 will be a standing Start, Race 2 will be a rolling start. (Single Race nights will be a Standing Start)

Qualifying will be held before each event.  If there is more than 2 Lobbies then the 107% rule that F1 has will be in effect.
Qualifying will consist of a 10 Minute Session. (Nordschleife and Camino Extreme will be a 20 Minute session due to the length of the track.).  Lobby A will be Qualifiers 1-12 and Lobby B will be 13-24.  Also if No One is slower than the 107% cut off then those who qualify 25th on back will not race.  I am sorry but I only have enough people to manage 2 lobbies unless someone wants to step up that I can trust.

Championships:

Drivers Championship: Awarded to the Driver who scores the most points overall.
Manufacturers Championship: Awarded to the Manufacturer who has the best avg. points payout of the season.  after each round the points will be tallied and averaged between all cars of the Make.
SUNOCO Rookie of the Year: Awarded to the Driver who has the best points payout among first time SORA drivers.
   ROTY Points system will be based on 10 select races with your best and worst dropped.  If there is a tie for best or worst race then you get to chose which one is thrown out.  Then after the 8 races that count are determined the points from those races alone will be tallied and then revealed on the SORA Website.  www.SORARacingOfficial.webs.com. Constructors/Teams Championship: Awarded to the Team who has the most combined points between all their cars.
     -The highest finishing Privateer team will be recognized in the awards video.





General Racing Conduct:
Please keep it as clean as possible, Avoidable Contact penalties will be issued if need be.  Any and all Stewards Inquiries will go through me as this is under the SORA Banner not TORA.  I also reserve the right to hand out pass through penalties as I see fit.

Bump Drafting/Track Limits:

TORA Track limit rules are to be observed at all times.  Please try to maintain at least two wheels on the racing surface at all times.  It is understandable that the car may not turn on occasion or something out of your control happens and thus instances that are deemed out of the drivers hands will NOT be penalized.

Sunset Oval Rule
During the 50 Lap Sunset Oval Race there is to be absolutely NO BUMP DRAFTING or TANDEM DRAFTING until 5 Laps to go. At which point Bump Drafting and Tandems will be allowed.  You are also to not pass below the white line.  If you pass below the white line you must heed the position back before the next turn.  If you do not a Pass Through Penalty will be issued.  However, If you are forced below the white line while you are in the act of passing and you complete a pass then the pass will be legal.  If there is any controversy on if a pass was legal or not where a driver went below the white line and no one could prove either side during the race, if you could PM me the Lap number and your GT/TORA Number and I will look into it as a Stewards Inquiry.  (If a pass is found to be illegal after the race has concluded there will be a time penalty, that of which has not been determined but it will not be more than 10 seconds.)



Blocking:
Excessive Blocking will NOT be tolerated.  You may make only ONE move to defend a position and that is it.  Penalties can be handed out at the lobby host's discretion.

Caution Rules:
A Caution will only be called when 2 or more cars are involved in a wreck or if someone has flipped.  Once the Caution is called you are to slow down and let the leader pick you up.  there is to be NO racing back to the line or racing of any form once the caution is called.  Restarts will be double file with the leader of the race calling the green flag.  All Restarts will be at the Start finish line.  No Caution can be called within 2 laps to go unless it would imped the progress of the leaders.  If that happens then all cars will be required to STOP where they are.  Once the track has been cleared then everyone will regroup on the leader.  Once everyone has regrouped then a restart will be called on the next straightaway.
