Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
lol Jono I have officially renamed friday Xboxmas.
Come tomorrow when friends are picking up midnight releases I will be going crazy having to wait for Shopto.
I hope that tracking number has a 1 hr window otherwise I will be looking out the window all day in anticipation

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
Like it Newt - I may have to adopt that
It's shocking though - I've actually had people in the office asking why I'm so giddy, I daren't tell them the truth!!
I'm sure I read somewhere that the ShopTo orders (delivered by DPD) will have a 1 hour window..............as well as being able to actually track the van
A few of us are already taking bets over who's delivery will be last on the round.

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
Yea, I feel all titles and the nav bar NEED to have white text, not dull grey :/

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
Maybe make the title/navbar text 'bold' font too so it's thicker which will make it more readable. Changes look great btw!

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
It depends on the quality and resolution of your screen (some laptops have poor contrast and it may be difficult to read in that case) - remember not everyone uses the same equipment, or has the same eyesight, websites should be accessible for all (colour blind, disabled, sight impaired etc), it's part of the requirements for complying with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), not just an aesthetic choice.

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
Well anti-glare usually works like a charm but for contrast when it comes to grey it doesn't. Not had this laptop long and the screen has created as many problems as it has done an improvement. Still on the fence but if you are curious I wouldn't personally do it again.
The contrast is better now up top. I have no other problems with the site itself. It would be nice to limit sig sizes and accomplishments to something like Magic has instead of the ones that take up half a page with smiley's and everything else. I do like the new "online" box that was added a bit ago.

I it bold but it looks crap. I'll make the colour lighter laterCQR MAGiC wrote:Maybe make the title/navbar text 'bold' font too so it's thicker which will make it more readable. Changes look great btw!
apparently you can't actually limit the text in the signatures more/less than the 1000 character limit. we do have something planned for this thoughIt would be nice to limit sig sizes and accomplishments to something like Magic has instead of the ones that take up half a page with smiley's and everything else. I ordered my PC from ShopTo and it came a day early, albeit at 5:15pm. My delivery driver was called Trevor. I like Trevor, he said he decided to deliver my PC that afternoon as he was passing my address on his way back to the depot. But I have absolutely no idea how to track my parcel. I did it for my computer, but completely forgot how to do it again. It keeps asking for login details on dpd.co.uk but I don't remember ever registering an account with them :scratch:They might have text me the details, but I've been without my phone since Monday the 11th, as it's damaged and is in the Nokia Care Shop being fixedCQR Jono wrote:I'm sure I read somewhere that the ShopTo orders (delivered by DPD) will have a 1 hour window..............as well as being able to actually track the van![]()

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
DPD Tracking link - just enter the Package Tracking Number from your ShopTo Shipping Notice email (probably won't show up until tomorrow evening when it's dispatched):

Sorry Stan, not sure how that ended up in here lol
Back on topic:
I like the new coloured background for quoted text, makes it much easier to see what's being quoted.

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
But it's small, you could read big yellow on white but you can't read it when it's small. I can see the bar though

Re: Upcoming Changes to the Forum
I'm on Chrome, Mac, 1440x900, only thing i can notice is the 'quote' and 'edit' button etc. are hard to read. They seemed ok earlier, but i am running this program called f.lux which alters the warmth of your screen for when under certain types of light at night time. I install it on all computers i use now, it's a great bit of kit.
