Getting ready for the 22nd
Today, I made the first step for the arrival of the Xbox One.
Tuesday I will trade in Battlefield 4
Left is the Play & Charge battery pack for the 360. Right is the Xbox One battery pack.

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
unless the battery pack is a higher capacity then the 360 one, i am worried about a "smaller" battery pack

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
That's why the first thing I am going to do is turn off the vibration motors.
Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
Do not worry one bit. The old 360 battery is a Nmh battery, which are good, but nowhere near as good as a Lipo battery which i believe the xbox one controller has in it.
Edit. Xbox one controller still has a Nmh battery, just higher capacity.

Nope, it's a Lithium Ion not a Lithium Polymer.Mavrick 0 wrote:Do not worry one bit. The old 360 battery is a Nmh battery, which are good, but nowhere near as good as a Lipo battery which i believe the xbox one controller has in it.

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
In that case, no need to worry about battery life one little bit

Yeah i've preordered the play and charge kit too, Forza 5 steelbook and Battlefield 4, going to see how COD: Ghosts is on the XBONE before deciding whether to get it or not.

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
I need to get a play and charge kit. So far, I've got the Day One Edition console (with FIFA 14), as well as Forza 5 & 12 Months Gold Subscription for £500. I also bought Battlefield 4 & Need For Speed: Rivals for the X1 as well. I don't know what I'm going to do first!

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
I have everything paid for. The only thing that is not paid for is Battlefield 4, that's only because Gamestop won't let you trade and pay for a game until it comes out. So tomorrow, that will get taken care of. So the console, extra controller with the play & charge kit, Forza 5 LE and Titan Fall are set. Supposedly the Microsoft Store will have my console here on the on Friday.
Is it Friday yet???

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
i have to save my PTO time for the final 2 weeks of the year (scheduled holidays worked out where i can just schedule 4 days off to get 2 full weeks), so no calling in sick on Friday. besides, i doubt my xbox will be at my door til the afternoon on friday.

I completely forgot the One was out this Friday and I am down in London for it Guess the postman better take good care of it until Monday!
Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
As I got my dispatch email on Friday, I'm very much expecting my console to arrive on Friday 22nd at the latest, but I'm hopeful for a cheeky Thursday delivery.

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
Been in and paid for all mine today at game. Cant wait until tomorrow night. What a tease as i was only a foot away from my xbox one and watched the chap behind the counter put my xbox, 3 games and my plug and play in a carrier bag and then put it out the back of the shop.

Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
Well, I somehow don't move a console, tv, cable box, router, and modem for over a year and my cables were tied up in knots behind the television stand. It's like losing socks in the wash or headphone cables you neatly put up. Never fails!
Everything is ready today though!

Don't get me started on socks - I counted the other day and my youngest has 12 single socks, I swear our dogs eat themTG Wormburner wrote:It's like losing socks in the wash
Re: Getting ready for the 22nd
So basically he's moaning because it's more of a simulation, and because he is evidently crap at driving Forza 4 is automatically better?
I think i'll gloss over his judgement and make my own...
