THR ready for Le Mans 2.4hrs
The THR team have been testing vigourously for the 2.4hr endurance race at Le Sarthe next month.
There is great anticipation ahead of the race and as Aston Martin's primary representative the team has repainted it's cars for the one off. The cars will be resplendant in the classic 'Gulf' colour scheme though will continue with normal sponsorship.
"The opportunity to race at Le Mans in Gulf colours (albeit without Gulf sponsorship) is absolutely fantastic", Matt Hunter said.
"We're looking good for the race, the times seem quite close but we have yet to see what the diesel guys can do. I fully expect them to be ahead but I'm looking to be best of the petrol class and anything else is a bonus. It's a long race and anything can happen."

THR ready for Le Mans 2.4hrs :: Comments
The team has progressed well in testing and the car is looking more and more stable.
I'm much happier with the handling of the car now and after doing several long distance tests at the circuit I think I'll be in good shape for the race. Let's face it, it's only the driver that can let the side down, the car is fantastic.
Going up against the likes of Audi and Peugeot will be tough, let's not forget AJ has completed a full 24hr simulation here, if he doesn't know the optimum line round here no one will! It'll be tough to beat them, but I'll be happy to be best of th petrol class.
Hopefully Y22 will be receiving his updated car very soon and we can go all guns blazing to Le Mans and do a good job.

Yes he is!
ummm no AJ you're not just because i didnt make it a challenge like you did or let people know of what i was doing downt make you the only person that has ever done it.
Plus when AJ was bragging to McNish about his record he forgot to tell him that the restrictors were probably off on his R15 and he can do all the 24 hour practice he wants still doesnt mean he will win even though one of the R15's will win

hmmm, got any proof to back up your claims Mr.Satterlee?

For gods sake AJ pipe down. Considering the amount of people who own Forza 3, I'm sure your not the only person in existance to have tried that feat. I'm sure hundreds may have, and did more laps too
Why are you saying that the Lola won't be on the pace? In stock trim it has a huge straightline advantage vs the 908. The Aston is about 8 mph too fast http://www.racecar-engineering.com/news/opinion/368247/who-is-fast-and-who-is-not.html

Yeah but the 908 has decent straight line speed and is a lot better through the corners so it wakes it equal
With the chicanes on the mulsanne and the Porsche curves, having decent levels of grip and downforce is needed, especially with that horrible off-camber exit to the Porsche Curves.
