We could use the Ariel Atom V8 as a type of 'GP3 Style' Series. Would anyone be up for that?

Ariel Atom GP3? Sounds like a small enough niche to do in the current situation. Indycar/F1/Classic F1/GT/TCC: all too broad appeal to do until/if the issues get resolved.

It's quite a cheap car, well for a race-type car. Less than $200k. I love blasting round in it. Although, I can't help but feel that I will be needing a steering wheel to get on top of traction management. Particularly when I get to the real race cars.

need a wheel, drivatar is good but its not catered for the hardcore racers. Im disappointed with turn 10. casual gamers are just that so they will forget it in a few months leaving the hardcore online racers shafted. it feel a very different game, loved forza 4 as it went back to forza 2 menu setup. why do they play with such a vital part of the game..aarr..hoping a new driving game pops up soon as lifespan for fm5 is limited at present.

Three days in and £500 out of pocket, I only rushed to get it for FM5.

The console is amazing, but FM5 is pretty crap as a launch title and as a game on the whole.

I'm glad they've done away with the storefront TBH because they had to do this to stop all the credit glitching etc which has always been a pet hate of mine.  But the rest sucks.

Turn 10 have only confirmed what I already knew, I've been saying it since they became a part of Microsoft, they don't give a [censor words] about the core racers anymore, they want to sell 10 million copies to kids and pull everyone's pants down with DLC.

You feel this most on the Forza forums, I can remember times during FM1 & FM2 when you actually got heard, there was a real community.  The admins weren't [censor words] and things worked.  There is no more freedom of speech and the admins are a bunch of condescending [censor words].  I literally don't bother signing into my account anymore, I just view and leave.  
 
Forza 2 seems so long ago now :-(

While you guys are getting FM5, I think I'll be trying to get FM2 for Christmas to add to my collection of Forza games.  

Usually I can run better in FWDcars when not using TCS. We'll I built a Renault Megan with 534 hp and that dang car will smoke the tires(tyres) in 3rd gear coming out of a corner! Real handful to drive.

FM4 until issues are fixed infact this may take a year or so...so lets hope c.a.r.s pulls it out the bag

I won't be getting FM5 or an Xbox One, indefinitely. I've bought a wheel and I'm going to make a foray into iRacing. I will also play FM4, so I hope the events will still be around. It's really crap too, I was looking forward to endurance races with dedicated servers

I'm just think out loud so do bare with me... would it not be possible to get a petition of some sort made up requesting that T10 add all the features from FM4 we use/need into FM5?

T10 say that they have complete control over the games content and what not due to its use of the cloud.. so surely they could, in theory, add those features back to the game in a future title update perhaps? So going back my original thought..

could we, as a community create a petition, sign it, then spread the word to the other known Forza based organised online racing communities and ask them to also sign it, then send that into T10. It's a sizeable and long task, but what do we really have to lose?

on a more personal note..

I love my racing games and for me, Forza is the best I spent so long looking for ways to improve my online experience to avail, then I found TORA and I love it, since joining this brilliant community I've enjoyed the game so much more and have developed my racing ability so much. I don't want to see this community's progression put on hold whilst T10 sit with their thumbs up their ass thinking about more ways they could appease the mass of 'casual racers' Forza is about racing simulation, if people want to race casually then they can go play NFS in my opinion.. anyway that's my thoughts on the matter, I'll still be buying an Xbone and FM5 because i enjoy the franchise and if there will be any series in the future on FM5 I'll certainly be taking part.

So FM4 it is then for the time being. When is next Touring Car comp starting, can't wait?

Aha yeah looks like it. We're chatting about it just now, we'll make an announcement soon I think. TORA usually goes into shut down over December apart from the final TEC race, so don't expect anything until later in January anyway

This is disappointing. I was really hoping that TORA would run some FM5 events, as it stands there is only me & Paul signed up for the Mighty Mini Series. I know their is a multiplayer issue but we should at least try a series.
