The comments received by TORA before release means they were already aware of it!!!CQR CHRiS wrote:At least it shows they are aware of it. If they choose to ignore it then so be it we tried but they could of just blanked it.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
As a personal opinion, I feel these Drivatar "A.I." still feels like the A.I. from fm4, with just the added human tendencies from everyone's driving style. They still seem to follow the Driving Line to the "T", like having to brake where it isn't really necessary, or trying real hard to stick to the normal line and not realizing your along side them until your trading paint for at least 5 seconds. On numerous occasions this far, I've been taken out by what I think is more A.I. stupidity than any driver error. I'm sure all of us here try whole heartedly to race clean, but against these A.I., I've had to start driving a bit defensively to avoid stupid contact. had to restart races many of times at Spa due to the "drivatars" still run into the back of me while in trying to take turn 1 clean and not make contact with the drivatars ahead of me, or the final corner at road Atlanta where it's almost unnecessary to break, they are!
I'll apologize now for whatever MY drivatar does to anyone. It most probably Not how I drive

You can make a good amount of money running Rivals Time Attack, other option is to run as many races with the same car and keep upgrading it.Kilroy8 wrote:Chris how have you got that much money in that time?! I can't get above $500,000 before I have to buy another car for career.

Run a 20 lap race round a short track like silverstone national gives you loads of XP so get a double level up sometimes.

There is no wheels available yet. The Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia wheel is released on the 27th. The MadCatz wheel has been delayed until Feb 28th. I'm eager to see what Fanatec are planning.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
From what I read by Thomas - the guy in charge of Fanatec - they aren't planning anything because they aren't being given the licence by MS this time around. They also have made a working adapter for the current Fanatec wheels, but because of how they made it by modding the connection chip it breaks MS' ToS and is not being allowed to be sold.
I'll see if I can find the article I read.
I was saying to Duncan and Simon last night that I'm finding it hard to get used to a controller once again since I've used a wheel since FM2, however I am not sure I will bother buying a new one if I'm not going to be racing the game online or with TORA. I'm already getting bored of career and just want to do some organised racing :(I seriously can't be arsed painting either because I know it isn't 'for' anything.

almost reached $1-Mil CR, and havent yet finished the "Sport Compact" events. completed 5 championships in that category, and all the "bonus events" in each sub-category. about to start the final once i re-correct to pre-upgraded '97 Type R.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
With his modding you now have your answer as why he lost his licensing in the first place. When autoclutch came out he mysteriously vanished from the supported devices list on the MS page as soon as he made it backwards compatible. Don't hack their chips! Boggles the mind what he was thinking ($$$$ saving). He never made one that works yet. He would need the new security chip for that and have to hack it too.Richy59 wrote:From what I read by Thomas - the guy in charge of Fanatec - they aren't planning anything because they aren't being given the licence by MS this time around. Magictap, the new Thrustmaster is very good. Better than any wheel on a console to date in terms of how it feels but the pedals will remind you of a stiffer version of the MS pedals. Nearly identical so that really sucks. You can go to insidesimracing and look at Darin's first initial review. A full one is coming later of game and wheel.
EDIT: I've used it, don't own it.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
actually...this also explains the .5 sec slow down for my Fanatec after the dash update....i bet anything that an update also addressed specifically the auto clutch basically cancelling it out!!! just my opinion obviously...but if i were a company...i would have!!

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
I find the concept of the micro-transactions quite disturbing. It would be good if Turn 10 would give an indication of how much they are going to charge for a Track when these start to make an appearance.
Add the cost of a few tracks to Forza and this could be a very expensive venture.
I have iRacing and the tracks are between $11-$14. The difference there is that I did not have to buy iRacing to race, just pay the subscription of $100 - this is currently reduced to $50 for Black Friday. I equate this to my XBL subscription.
It does seem that these "micro-transactions" are going to be the way that the software industry is going - good for them - not so good for us :-(

Anyone else been awarded the 24 player badge?
Seem's my tweet and post on FM.net caused a response from T10 as it shouldnt of gave me it. Now is this something that has been cut out from the game or something that is due to come at a later date.
