2014 TORA Spec Cup Season 1 - General Discussion

C lobby was great. Second race there was a 7 car battle for 1st for half the race only for me to mess up and ruin my own race, Sorry to anyone involved from the result of my spin, namely hunty

Right first off, big thanks to everyone for making it a pleasure to host A lobby. As for the racing, well race 1 I had the greatest race on Road Atlanta ever, to sum it up, on lap 6 tubbi goes to me are we going to drive around 20 feet apart for the whole race & I reply yeah why not. Great battling until I managed to make a break for it on the last lap hitting a 1.30.479!   To be fair, It was going to have to be something like that to get away from tubbi that race.

Race 2 on the other hand, had a great start & managed to squeeze through 3 people in 2 corners to put me 4 & then it just got really bad. Coming into turn 5 I hit the sticky because I couldn't see where the corner was, it knocked me sideways, tried to correct it & spun around, giving Tubbi some damage (Sorry Again! ) Then later on in the race I was 11th going down the back straight & we were 3 wide, but whoever was infront tried squeezing me & Uniform 92 but there just wasn't enough room which cause one to go into the wall & gave me even more damage. In case that wasn't enough on the same lap coming into the last chicane I completely shunted Unifrom which pretty much wrote us both off. Race 2 was a disaster & sorry to everyone I managed to destroy in the process. However these things happen from time to time it's all part of racing & race 2 was just one to forget.

Big well done to Super for putting in a phenomenal performance tonight, Tubbi for that great race 1 & Hamish for doing what we've all come to expect from him taking the win in the second race. See you all at Silverstone International!

Shameless plug: I'd just like to say I'm delighted that FOUR Team HARD entered drivers made Lobby A on our debut, and apologies to them for not making it 5. The pace was there, the execution lacked.

Great Racing in Lobby D with Dino near the end. I now know how jgroves felt at Hockenhiem during the V8 Supercars. Had to wait for that mistake and it came on the last lap out of the esses. I Wouldn't have gotten by him otherwise without wrecking us both. Probably the best car Ive had since my winning GT Revival Viper.

addition host did several times ask for it to be toned down, as did a few others.

Who was in your lobby. Certain people I know are disruptive that I yelled at them about a month back.

Awesome racing in Lobby A with JGroves, Mystic, Super T, Hamish & Bellmond! Alot of room given yet door handles still rubbed respectfully! Thanks for the host Mad Dog, roll on next week and to try get a 3rd Overall again!

Awesome racing in A lobby last night. I followed mad dog and Tubbi  from start to finish in race 1. Race 2 was lucky to take the win.  Unlucky to super t who held the lead all the way untill lap 11. Congrats to mad dog on his race win. See you all at silverstone.

Myself and Uniform 92 (my team mate) reveiwed this incident in detail after the race, i had moved over to give uniform more space but as we approached the crest of the hill on the straight where the gentle right hand bend is uniform just clipped my l/h rear bumper causing me to vear left into the wall, there was absolutely no contact with you from either of us.

PLOW Tubbi, may i appologise for 'making you laugh so hard i turned my mike off'!!! But hey, if i made seven places off the line id be a legend, if you lose seven places your a laughing stock!

Big thankyou to the team, jgrooves1996, MNM Smurphy, Uniform 92 and MichaelJGroves. Had a laugh thanks, great banter and made me feel welcome, hope i didnt let you down too much although im happy getting into A lobby and managed to take away 174 points.

Awesome racing last night in A lobby! I had a slow start and lost a place going into Turn 1 down to 10th. Some contact ahead helped me to move through the field and onto the back of jgroves and The Cheeky Wizard in the battle for 4th. Scarhand was also in the mix until his controller died. The top 3 were long gone but I managed to grab 5th for race 1.

LMR Mad Friday I'm sorry about that tap in Turn 1. I messed my entry and slid wide.

Race 2 was much of the same. The faster guys were coming through pretty fast so I let them through without much of a fight hoping that they'd get caught up in the battle ahead, which they did but I struggled to latch on. Mad Dog had a moment causing a couple of people to go off track, letting me and a couple of other guys through. Towards the end I had mounting pressure from MNM Smurfy but held on for another 5th place.

So congrats to the winners and podium placers! You we're too quick for me!

Best moment for me was overtaking both Scarhand and jgroves into the final chicane! Great skills from them both being fully aware my intention to pass!

Due to certain circumstances that a few Staff members are aware off, I will be pulling out of this championship.

What i would like to say is a massive thank you and well done to Hurricane for putting such a great championship together. Ive had some epic and racing in this championship so thanks.

I am sorry to hear you're dropping out of the series.

I'll see what photos I can take during the week.

It was only slight. You ran wide on the exit of the last corner which gave me a run into Turn 1. The move was done but I ran wide and just touched your front end.

Good race last night, first time in an A lobby since the R8 cup (need to work on my qualifying) well done Hamish and mad dog for the race wins. Had a quick practice at silverstone times looking good compared to hamish until he steps it up

Hi guys the race was a wash out for me really got hit by my own team m8 then lagged into hurricane. But been practicing today and ive hit a 1.53.098 on Atlanta. Just done a 1.51.762 round silverstone still trying to get used to the clutch. My fingers have got to get used to lifting of throttle when changing up. Really appreciated both your help and advice im trying to improve and hopefully one day il be raceing you guy's in lobby A.

You don't need to lift off when you change up on forza
