Probably not for long as we now have the dreaded Catalunya sh!t circuit where it's almost impossible to get a clean lap.

Excellent racing was on display tonight.

Bit concerned about guys not being invited and I urge the organisers to take more care or face a whipping.

A thought.....how do you stop a Pug from running on over the Laguna crest before the corkscrew, answers on a post card and send it to:

Well this first race of the season started off good and bad. I hope everyone had fun with the car and the choice of track for Meeting 1.

Now to put out a fire or two. First off, if anyone has an issue with what happened in a race, race host or another driver you have 3 choices.
1) Put in an SI
2) PM myself or TORA Staff about the issue
3) Not say a word
Also, the only person that should be talking before a race, during a crash and at the end is the race host!

I nor any of the TORA Staff will put up with drivers complaining about something that happened in a race in the forum. I understand you are frustrated because we are all competitive and passionate about racing. But, there is a correct way to complain. Remember this is the first race of the season. Things always go wrong, but it will get better. We're here to have fun, first and foremost!

If you don't know a rule, please read them. TORA has so many places the rules are available. If you don't understand a rule, then ask one of the Staff, Community Team, Marshals or Stewards. That's what we're here for. So please, have fun drivers!

I used to know this, as I think that may be the only place I have ever passed ATR Dan for the lead. Ever.

It was in these cars too, when NickyF1 hosted them.

But, that was two years ago, and this old man ain't what he once (quite literally "once") was.

I have to say the racing was fantastic today!! I mean for the first half of the race we were in packs of 4 and 5 racing really close. I was watching 3 drivers swap for the lead on almost every turn! It was fantastic. I will have the replays up on my storefront here shortly.

I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so.

I also have a feeling that the closeness of the racing may have contributed to some of the issues that occurred in other lobbies. When you have a huge pack of equal cars, and maybe too close of racing, sometimes bad things can happen.

This was a very unfortunate incident which i witnessed first hand, one car had lag, launched forward into a corner and wiped quite a few cars out which is obviously going to cause frustration, however..........

rules are rules, after the first lap is complete there are to be no restarts so there's no point sitting around in a lobby bitching and moaning, which then puts other driver off and prolongs the race and evening.

I thought it was all well handled by bandit and on the whole the racing was close and fair particularly in race one

@ James hall, I have shared your frustration on many occasions and I sympathise.

For this reason I decided long ago that I come here to race and have a good clean race wherever possible, doesn't always go to plan, the only other option is to race with another league (not found another as good or fair) or to race public lobbies (yikes).
Stick around, put it behind you, make sure the staff know of the problem and if they monitor consistent problems with one persons connection that person will be excluded from racing until it improves.

Can't say fairer than that.

YEAH............lobby chatter during the race was bloody awfull.............no offence to those in the lobby but seriously do we need the childish banter all through the race.

Also a note to people when the grid needs to be formed, allow the lobby host to organise and direct this ,too many people were cutting in with their take on how this should be done , well done to MAB for hosting

Race 2.....well the person who tapped me up a few times from behind finally shunted me off on lap 15 ................not amused... as 2nd place was on the cards!

Stewards enquiry will sort that out mate

Amazingly close, hard fought racing in A lobby! Well done to Mad Dog and Tubbi on their wins.

Had a great battle with CQR Stevie in both races, a couple of comings together but no real damage done.

As the saying goes "Rubbins racing".   

I qualified a disappointing 13th just scraping into A lobby 1.2 seconds off my best lap pace with 21.5xx. Finished Race 1 7th, started Race 2 in 3rd and managed to finish 2nd with Mad Dog chasing me down!

Special thanks to Mad Dog for hosting, everything went really smooth and left no time hanging around in the lobby.

A couple of lag issues which unfortunately caused some problems for other drivers, hopefully this can be resolved for the next meet at Catalunya.

  

Are the results fully finalised? I thought team scoring was from the 2 highest finishing drivers and that points from 1st to 10th were 100-98-96-94-92-90-89-88-87-86 and then for the rest it's 85,84,83 etc.

I was under the impression top 2 drivers points counted towards the teams champ too. Not too sure about the other points system though.

SIs have been received, stewards looking at them.

I agree with sim to many cooks spoil the broth plus if there was less chatting then people would have heard where they started. Well done for hosting mab as that lobby was terrible.  Hopefully didnt ruin anybody race with my 2 hardware failures in race 1 and 2. Also noticed a lot of corner cutting hope the stewerds did as we'll as i believe it goes against what tora are about especially with MSA backing same as the chatting

It is down to the lobby host to control the lobby including chatter.

Hopefully mab will be more forcefull next time.

As for the MSA bit, this is a spec cup and does not fall under the MSA rulings, its for fun only, that said, some corners get cut in excitement and some to gain an unfair advantage.
If anyone has a complaint by all means bring it to the attention of a steward and they will review the alleged offence.

I always seem to get quite frustrated trying to host this.   

according to the "rules and regulations" page concerning points, I should have 182pts but i only have 166pts so i'm missing 16pts somehow?

also the team points are incorrect as all three team members times have been added instead of the top 2 only!

^^^ Advice.
Ask them to comply or leave the lobby, firm but fair is always the case.
There's always one that holds things up with funny remarks and talking over the host, give them the opportunity to behave and if they don't comply remove them for disrupting the lobby.

Move your mic closer to your mouth and talk over them before most things, alot of the guys in the lobby will usually back you up as they are there to race.
