Just had a check of my points too. I think the standard TORA points system may have been used instead of the system in the rules and regs thread. I should have 187 points - 89 for 7th in race 1 and 98 for 2nd in race 2.

I don't think that people that DNF'd in a higher lobby should be scoring more points than someone in a lower lobby.

No They shouldnt they should then be scored in DNF lower than drivers that finished, tell those that speak to be quite or kick them out of the race

Me thinks someone made a BooBoo.

This is correct, as per the rules and regs supplied in the spec page.

As a first time TORA racer here is my take.

Great series!
Good rules structure.

Why not run a 1 lap race that gets everyone in order? The spacing of the cars won't be an issue and everyone is starting on cold tires instead of the pole sitter getting there first and cooling down while everyone else fumbles around in the back. Now you have the first cars in the corner braking early due to tires and the back of the pack coming in hot.

Bandit thanks for running the lobby. Don't get frustrated it was an awful group to try and rope in.

Apologies to those caught up in my turn one mishap.

Some poor driving being blamed on lag that is clear was not there in the replay.

As a new guy in the group I don't know what everyone sounds like and so once racing was very confused as to who I was taking lobby orders from. It was a bummer to exit out of a multiple second lead due to multiple people yelling restart only to find out I was the only one who left. Live and learn I will never leave a lobby until I am the last car on track again.

All in all the first race was fun and I am looking forward to Catalunya.

Regarding the point on multiple people yelling restart, that is something i had issues with at first. Best thing to do is twig who the host is, and if you're not sure, ask them directly are we restarting. If the chatter is too much to do so, keep racing until you're directly told to stop. I finished on the podium in a dog-turd kart at the 06 MSA Superkart GP because half the grid decided there'd been a false start and continued onto a second rolling lap. The other half went for it, no false start flag appeared. MSA officials response to the official appeal put in by those drivers "you don't determine whether a false start has occurred, I do".

Lag is what it is. Pain in the backside either way, just have confidence that justice will be done

I have revised the rules for points and how they should be handed out. I will get the points changed to what the rules states. This will be the ONLY revision I make to the points system.

Can somebody please tell me where the sign up thread for meeting one was, and a message to remind racers, i thought meeting one was this week because of the post of test session on the 12th, i have now signed in for meeting two but considering there was no post about meeting one, and i was online at the time and received no invite or message about if i was racing. i wanted to take part in this event and i will be doing from round two, its a shame there was no post about round 1 but hey ho, thats over with i suppose. onwards to round two.

Having just watched my team mates replays and seen him being taken out from a podium position by another competitor who was doing more than just rubbing paint, ultimately costing my team mate a podium points finish I also noticed that theres more than one car in this series with no numberboards or any of the mandatory TORA vinyls whatsoever on their cars. Am I wrong in thinking that numberboards clearly identifying a driver was a standard mandatory TORA rule in every series and if they werent displayed would lead to disqualification?

Some paints dont load up. It happens just move the replay to there car. Then you have there GT.

I recommend a stewards inquiry to sort out any problems

The series started the 12th. I never posted anything about a test session, that one of the drivers. I did put up a signup thread for the first race and took it down after the race. I do show you signed of for the second meeting and will place everyone that has signed up in the last day or so once I get home. Right now my girlfriend comes first and everything else comes second this weekend.

good call mr hurricane. the guys really should read through all of the info to avoid disappointment or accidental disqualification.

YEAH............lobby chatter during the race was bloody awfull.............no offence to those in the lobby but seriously do we need the childish banter all through the race.

Also a note to people when the grid needs to be formed, allow the lobby host to organise and direct this ,too many people were cutting in with their take on how this should be done , well done to MAB for hosting

Race 2.....well the person who tapped me up a few times from behind finally shunted me off on lap 15 ................not amused... as 2nd place was on the cards!

I would like to say im sorry about this there is no excuse for me thinking 2 cars could fit through that area of the track at the same time and my over eagerness to get past unfortunately caused you to spin out and lose a few positions.
I dont know how this works but i would definately put in an SI because i definately wouldnt be appealing against it....to be honest i think my standards of racing in race 2 were all round bad so i would say to the organisers could you just take my points if any away from that round please to avoid any conflict, once again sorry fellas   

As for the lack of livery and numberboards my paintwork didnt load up sorry

just wanted to let hosts know that I will not be talking at all throughout the races or qualifying as my dad will be working tonight and will be asleep while I am racing tomorrow and the xbox is right near his room.
