With Rallycross set to take a big step forward in 2014 with the FIA World Rallycross Championship and the ever growing Global Rallycross Championship in the USA This seems like the perfect time to start a rallycross thread here at TORA. Feel free to post any rumours, discussion, photo's, videos and/or opinions about both the FIA World Rallycross Championship, European Rallycross or Global Rallycross in this thread!

So far the Global Rallycross off-season has been VERY lively!

First up was the demise of Travis Pastrana's RedBull Discount Tire Dodge team with Dodge pulling the plug and seizing the Dodge Dart Supercars after the 2013 finale.

Since then it's been announced that Pastrana will drive for Subaru at X-Games, however no word yet as to whether that will extend into the GRC season. His Ex-Team mate Bryce Menzies still remains without a drive.

Next up 2013 Champion Toomas Heikkinen announced he would NOT be defending his title OR driving a Fiesta at all next season with a move to Marklund Motorsport and the FIA WRXC in the VW Polo Partnering Anton Marklund. Both will however contest X-Games Austin.

On the Subject of VW's it has been announced the VW will enter an official Manufacturer backed entry in 2014 with a pair of as yet un-named drivers. The team will be run by Andretti Autosport and will use a pair of VW Polo's to begin with before moving on to a pair of VW Beetle's in the later half of the season.

The final big piece of news came from reigning champions Olsberg's MSE who build and run the Dominant Ford Fiesta Supercars which have won all three Global Rallycross Titles since the series inception. They announced their driver lineup of Former JWRC Champion Patrik Sandell and GRC Lites Champion Joni Wilman in a pair of Fiestas in 2014.

Missing from the list however was Rockstar Energy Drink Team mates Brian Deegan and Two Time GRC Champion Tanner Foust who are both currently without confirmed drives, thus placing Foust and Deegan at #1 and #2 in the rumour mill for the as yet unannounced seats at VW!

Peugeot has announced today that it will team up with Kenneth Hansen and his Hansen Motorsport team to officially enter the 2014 World Rallycross Championship with a Peugeot 208 T16 Supercar.

Tanner Foust and Scott Speed have today been announced as the drivers for Volkswagen's entry into the Global Rallycross Championship this season!

The pair will drive Modified Polo WRC's for Round 1 before switching to VW Beetle Supercar's at X-Games.

Very nice, and also a nod to the Beetle's motorsport past. Franz Wurz raced a Beetle in the glory days of European Rallycross.

Subaru have confirmed the return of Sverre Issachsen and Bucky Lasek to their Global Rallycross Team in 2014 with Travis Pastrana making a one off appearance at X-Games.

They also announced plans to introduce the new 2015 model Subaru Impreza WRX STi "at some point" during the season with development work already under way.

Ken Block has revealed his 2014 livery today as well as his competition plans. Block will contest the entire Global Rallycross Season as well as three World Rallycross Events throughout 2014 in his Hoonigan Racing Ford Fiesta RX Which was Built by M-Sport from a WRC Spec Fiesta.
