2014 Forza Le Mans Series Season

I thought TORA was putting the TEC on hold this season?

I know for a fact that Sebring is a go. Not to sure about the others.

We ended up postponing our Le Mans a week last year as TORA schedule the TORA 24 on the same weekend and a lot of our members were taking part.

I know a lot of the guys over on the FLMS enjoy the TEC, So no doubt we'll work it out.

Just a quick note... The Sebring Pre-Season Test (1 Hour test race) has been brought forward to March 22nd.

The Sebring Test is a good chance for competitors to see their rivals in action as well as get a good feel for FLMS rules and their cars under race conditions. Also a good chance to test out tunes before the big race itself.

Since FLMS made the calender public so soon already, maybe Tora can adjust their calender( if there is 1) so there will be no conflict with dates?

Nissan Motorsport are no longer looking for drivers in LMP1. Hug My Toad has joined Porsche.

The team is now available to anyone who wishes to choose it.

Could be an option. That would be up to TORA though. I could talk try talking to whoever's in charge of setting the TEC dates.

The Aston is grip handicapped... Runs 5% front and rear.

I had a feeling you were going to say that lol, dang thing is near impossible to get consistent with the handicaps, great car and enjoy running it in the GT spec series here.. just takes talent which I don't have.

Looks to be a good series so would like to watch it at the very least, doubt a space will open up in a Corvette but i'll see if the Aston is something I could manage.

the aston gets some tire widths though which helps so much. 2 tires front and 3 rear. One of the best cars in the championship i believe

ooooo, don't get me wrong I love the Aston, probs my fave GT1 car of all time, I just struggle to tune any car with grip handicaps lol, there's no tip to it

But yea i'll give it a go and see how I get on, would like to take part as looks good, and already see some old friends over there.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, we really respect what you guys have achieved here at TORA, so it means an awful lot to have such nice things said about the series!

It looks like our Sebring race, and the TEC Sebring are on different dates so I'm tempted to try and have a proper go at it this time!

( Perhaps a bit less of a rushed effort this time than Canadian and I managed to put together at the TEC LM24!! )

Hey that was a damn good effort! lol. We lead that awhile and had i not had to do 5 hours overnight we could have finished

Yeah I think we did a decent job given the circumstances - was exhausted after my 10 hours, but even so I really regret not staying up and trying to do more - short term loss for long term gain!

With the 2014 ELMS & WEC entry lists being announced late last week, Several new teams to those championships have been made available for use in the 2014 FLMS season.

The following teams are now available:

AT Racing (Ferrari)
Team Sofrev-asp (Ferrari)
SMP Racing (Ferrari)
Kessel Racing (Ferrari)
Gulf Racing (Porsche)
Crubile Sport (Porsche)

Alongside the new GTE entries, It has also been decided that two open top LMP1 teams will rejoin the ranks for 2014... Strakka Racing, And Muscle Milk Pickett Racing. Both teams use the Acura ARX-01b in game. The build can be found in the 2014 Technical Regulations thread.

Now I'm kind of tempted to switch to prototypes since I love the Acura.

We'll be hosting a non championship race on the 8th of March at Sunset Full.

This will give drivers new to the series a chance to taste what FLMS racing is like, Whilst getting everyone back into the groove of running longer races.
