2014 Forza Le Mans Series (LMP1 Drivers Wanted)
2014 Forza Le Mans Series
The Forza Le Mans Series (FLMS) is heading towards it's sixth season in 2014. The core of the series is all about multi-class racing - trying to re-create the excitement and thrill that the WEC and ELMS events bring. Having been established back on Forza 2 with the first full season running in 2009, the series has grown and improved continuously - now offering very large fields and close competition for drivers of all talents.
Rebellion Racing's HMR Motorhead took pole and went on to win last years season opener at Sebring
The series has been streamlined to two classes for 2014, LMP1 and GTE, This is to insure maximum competition within two very different classes, Rather than spreading competitors thin over four classes.
Ferrari will be hunting its 6th Manufacturer's championship in 2014
The series runs once every year, from around March/April until October and there is usually a break during June to allow for members who are taking exams. The shortest races this season will be 2 hours, and the longest will be 3 hours. For this reason, only very rarely are races run on back-to-back weekends - usually there is at least two weeks between events.
The site has a great community of motorsport lovers from all over the world, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, And New Zealand. We have many who don't even compete in the series, but simply visit to join in the (frequent and sometimes hard fought) debates on the latest happenings in the motorsport world. It's all in good spirit!
Audi are the defending champions in LMP1 completing a whitewash of the Drivers, Teams, And Manufacturers championships in 2013. Can the likes of Porsche and Toyota upset them in 2014?

FLMS Sebring Preview
The wait is almost over. This Saturday competitors will take to the track at Sebring International raceway to take part in the 2014 FLMS season opener, The three hours of Sebring. The grueling three hour test will push drivers to the limit as they hope to get off to the best possible start in 2014.
Last years pole sitter and eventual winner HMR Motorhead will be looking to repeat that feat again this year, And now at the helm of one of the new factory Porsche P1's he is sure to be the favourite to take victory. However he will face stiff competition from P1 regulars Audi, And Toyota, As well as fellow new boys Nissan. LMP1 will also see privateer efforts from Lotus, And Rebellion Racing, The latter of which confident of taking the fight to the front after upsetting the factory teams at Sebring last year.
No less than seven drivers are set to make their FLMS debut in LMP1 at Sebring, The most notable of which being V12 Riot. The double GTE Drivers champion with Ferrari making the switch to Toyota for 2014 after five years of loyal service to the Italian brand. He'll be hoping to replicate his success in GTE, And take the fight to double, And current world Champion F4H Hamilton of Porsche.

With the demise of LMP2 and GTC, GTE has gone from strength to strength with over forty entries for the full season from a variety of manufacturers. Porsche will be the best represented in the class, With thirteen cars set to take to the grid in 2014, Five of which being the new 911 (991) RSR, Along side eight of the older 911 GT3-RSR's, Giving the German marque a very strong presence in the class. Next up is Ferrari, The Italian brand seeing twelve of their F458's on the grid this year.
Sebring looks to be a four way dogfight in GTE, With the factory representatives from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, And Corvette set to duke it out for the top honours, The #51 Ferrari of AF Corse will be looking to take the win, Having set the top times during the official Sebring test. Former Rebellion Racing driver Aero180 taking over the reigns of Ferrari from V12 Riot, But the young American will have his work cut out if he wishes to see Ferrari remain as dominant as before.

Another driver to look out for in GTE is LMR Merikuh. The Aston Martin factory driver was part of the Starworks team that brought home the LMP2 Teams title last year, And also has three class wins to his name. He'll be looking to lead a strong Aston Martin contingent as the British manufacture looks to add to the solitary victory it has to its name.
Qualifying for the opening round of the Forza Le Mans Series season opens at Midnight tonight (Thursday 10th April), With the race taking place at 8pm BST/3pm EST on Saturday 12th April.
