The CRX is pretty good stock, actually. Too many upgrades and the car drives itself. Funny this spec series has bounced from one LB car into another.

Sadly, I get the feeling there won't be a NA lobby option.

I saved the replay from our race around Bugatti which I'll put up later - had an epic battle with Magictap that ended unexpectedly shall we say!! The sight of a car barrel rolling towards Maggots was a new one for me as well! This series is going to be an absolute hoot!

Its been a while since i attempted to run in a series on Forza Motorsports 5, the last one being the Mini Cooper's which unfortunately for myself highlighted way too many issues in running an online series, and that was before i even attempted to do any sort of media, which to myself is as big a part of the series as the racing itself, you may have noticed that point though. So the Forza 5 journey in which was always going to be a slow burner due to learning new tracks, new controller, being old and confused at the best of times, became a snail's pace, as simply, Forza Motorsports 4 was and still is in my opinion, the better package overall.

But i will give credit to Turn 10, they have decided to invest in Forza 5 to an extent that we can now see a small light at the end of the tunnel, weather this was the plan all along, listening to the online communities or more likely due to the fact that the Forza franchise was in freefall amongst, media, players and more importantly, the cash from DLC sales, we will never know, but the patch last month was certainly a welcome and very unexpected addition.

So, now armed with replays, meaning the cheats can be spotted, the rules be adhered to and the online racing sites can publicize a series (to a certain degree), its time to step into another series and hope this can spark the enthusiasm for the next generation and attempt put the nightmare of the first series in the vault for good.

The 1984 Mugen CRX, a car i can honeslty say, i had never heard of, i know of the next generations, but didnt know that this was the first link up with Mugen, thankfully an American put me right and once he had finishing laughing about its beauty, that the power is delivered to the front wheels and the fact he almost bought the Honda version as his first car, i kind of knew alot more about it.

The good news for myself is, im willing to race most things that are slow and old, after all, it suits my persona being slow and old obviously. Its a car to make scream and scream it is in my hands. Opening round at Laguna Seca which is perhaps my least favourite track from the Forza franchise as i have never got the hang of it and judging by the couple of times posted so far, im a good second and a half off the pace, which in stock form with just race tyres fitted, having already gained a second and a half per lap and really on the edge of talent is slightly concerning, around the 1:48 flat mark when fully warmed up (which granted does take a while). Who knows, i may grow a pair by the off, but if not, its a series im looking forward to, the car makes me smile in the fun element, being a cockpit driver, i dont need to look at the outside of it too much as the rest of the field will have disappeared by Lap Three and i can now take a photo or two as well.

I may have a friend to play with occasionally, as ATP Ginge may make a couple of rounds, depending on work schedule, paint was done by myself at 4am on a Monday morning, inspired by a lack of sleep, skill and NHS drugs. I think it suits me to a tee, simple!!

Well it's been about 10 minutes for me and now I'm at 48%... crossing my fingers I can get some practice laps/tuning in before qualifying, still need to add my numbers to the car as well. I think I'll be alright though.
