Donington Park 21st Feb 2013
First day with Mission Motorsport tomorrow, shame Donington isn't on the track rotation on Forza I could have done with learning the circuit as I've never driven there before, starting the day in track SPEC MX5 then onto something more tasty. Ill try and upload some pics during the day.
Wish me luck, big things could start from here!

Re: Donington Park 21st Feb 2013
Just an update on this. For those of you that might not know, Mission Motorsport is a charity motorsport team run by serving and veteran soldiers for the benefit of injured servicemen. Not only do they enter teams into all sorts of motorsport, they also provide training and find employment for injured soldiers when discharged from the forces.
20th of February was my first outing with the team, i was supposed to be driving an MX-5 converted to hand controls (both my legs are near useless) but surprisingly this was one of the few cars i didnt drive!
To start the day we had sighting laps as a passenger, this sounded boring until i was told my first 5 laps were in a brand new Jaguar F-type driven by ex touring car driver Nick Leason........ epic. Then into a Caterham driven by one of there works drivers, ive forgotten his name but also epic, the caterham had only 120bhp but was quicker than the jag round most of the circuit except the pit straight.
First up for me a Porsche Turbo for some racing line tuition, should have been good but after nearly beaching the car in the gravel at 130mph the instructor decided to let me know that the porsche had no servo assisted breaks, not good when youe legs dont work properly! Anyway we carried on changing the breaking points to suit and all was well.
Next up a 120 grand Massarati, this was like driving a penthouse appartment, but surprisingly quick through the bends and an animal on the straights, but most importantly exceptional breaks which i was glad of.
Also drove Fiat 500 Abarth which was fun, the new 208 GTI which was the worst car on the planet, but the most fun i had that day was in the TOP GEAR Kia, this car is so much fun. Blagged rides in a few other cars, Evo 8, new Fiesta ST, Renault Sport Clio and 2 M3's.
An amazing first experience with Mission Motorsport and really looking forward to Thruxton on the 25th of this month. Whilst there i spoke to their recovery officer who has possibly found me a work placement at Beaulieu Motor Museum. Some of his recent success stories include getting one lad a job with Caterham F1 and now he does all the liveries for their F1 team, and one lad has just secured a job at Donnington Park with the new Formula E which starts this year.
