Re: MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion
I know, Im not complaining, im just stating now that i got a warning for one infraction last week, I did it once accidentally and therefore it should be a warning. That's all im saying for now. I got caught up in the heat of the battle and my mind just went blank. My mistake 100%, just saying what should happen
But otherwise, bloody fantastic race, Rob earned it 100%, I gave it absolutely everything but i just couldn't get him!

top 4 within 13 points.
Rob, you may have doubled your lead after today, but we still have 2 races left.

Re: MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion
I'm just glad to finally get back in championship form. The mid season back slide wasn't helping.
But good race guys, glad to bring the Dollar General Chevy to victory lane and I'm definitely looking forward to the last two rounds. A lot can happen, but I can promise Mark, its going to be a fight!

He said he was two pages ago.. oh, that was quitting TORA after this series.
TBH...I'm not sure what I'm doing at this point. There are some things up in the air that may or may not change how I proceed with racing here. Not sure if many people have noticed but I've been all but a ghost on the forums for quite a while. I just want to race. That's why I'm here...to race. There have been some issues (not public) that have seriously steered me in a direction away from TORA. I hate the politics involved on the forums and it's gotten pretty bad through this series with petty fighting, penalties, dishonesty and things were and needed to be said. I hope because of that things will change for the better.
In light of this message...I would appreciate not being flamed if I decide to continue racing here. Hope that's not too much to ask. Many of the drivers on here at one time or another have had great battles with me on track over the past few years I've been a part of TORA...even you Mikey...and that's what matters. You will not see my voice on here again except to sign up or ask a question pertaining to a series. This message is coming directly from me and not by influence of anyone else.

Re: MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion
Surely as each track has a different configuration of pitlane requiring its own rules regarding entry and exit each round should be treated independently?! Seems ludicrous to penalise someone "because theyve been penalised before" for something as frankly meaningless as a single breach. Contact driving yes you can and should carry warnings over, as for gaining unfair advantages etc, but a pit lane entry infraction seems petty and in my opinion is cheap point scoring for someone being called out after the Indy race.

Re: MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion
Steward decision are final.
It may seem petty, but sometimes a 'repeat offender' needs to be used as an example of others to show we take our 'jpb' seriously.
And saying that I don't mean that we though 'Oh, Jordan is a pretty good lad and liked by the community, let's make an example of him', it's just what stewards have been told to do in regards to pit entry
The Road Atlanta pit lane entry and exit are a fair bit more difficult compared to other tracks so I suspect some leeway may be given, but the amount of that leeway I am not sure.
And I hope I don't sound like an a*s saying this but 1 grid drop isn't really a huge amount, going from left to right or vice versa on the grid and the races are decent length so making the place up isn't impossible, especially given Jordans pace in these cars

Re: MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion
It's fine Michael, my issue is not with the penalty (Although if I'd had a warning at Indy and a penalty at Silverstone I'd have agreed with it more.) I'm more annoyed with the conduct of some people that has been picked up on by a few other drivers.
But I don't wanna drag this out any longer as it's not fair on Mario, so I'm shutting up

Re: MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion
This is the VERY LAST time Ill make a point on whats happened lately.
At Indy I saw drivers cut the pitlane entry some once, some twice. I read the sportings regs which said drivers must enter/ exit correctly. The TASCAR rules did not state anything so The sporting code took over and the stewards agreed to hand warnings to those who only cut once, and a 1 place drop to those who cut twice. Its a VERY simple thing not to cut a pit line so that why the guys who cut twice at Indy got a place drop, every racing driver online or on a real track knows not to cut a pit line. Drivers said they thought it was OK to enter before the cone at Indy and yes I understand NASCAR does that but I acted with the wording of a sporting reg and no statement in the TASCAR rules about how Mark wanted it dealt with at each track.
Fast forward to Silverstone and drivers should know stewards have A) warned ALL drivers that the entry has to be respected and B) drivers should know stewards would view the entrys again. So yes again we look and we see jgroves pretty much have all 4 wheels on the grass entering pits, missing the point of entry. So a punishment was always looking likely. However what hasn't been noted by Mgroves or jgroves is that fact that punishment wasn't as harsh as it could have been.
Jgroves was on a '3rd strike' its the 3rd time he's not entered the pitline correctly so the punishment normally goes - warning, 1 place drop, 2 drop etc. We chose to only hand down a 1 place drop to jgroves when as stated before we could have gone with a 2 place drop. we chose to do this to show we ain't here to spoil the fun for TORA racers but as we are backed by the MSA, we have to enforce the rules/ sporting regs.

Let the stewards do their job. You can appeal ur penalty if you feel you been wronged.
