Inaugural IFCA Far Eastern 200 to celebrate the 65th NASCAR Southern 500

Next Saturday, April 12, at 4 PM Eastern, the IFCA will host its first Single event of the 2014 season!

Next weekend, one of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series' most historic races, the Southern 500, take place. To celebrate the 65th running of the race, the IFCA will host a 200-mile race on Twin Ring Motegi Speedway, chosen for its similar shape, size, and speed to Darlington Raceway.

As usual with NASCAR races on Forza Motorsport 4, the drivers can compete with the Chevy and Ford Stock Cars. Each can only have race breaks and drag tires. "Wait, drag tires?" Yes, because in reality, Darlington has aggressive tire wear, and NASCAR events in general are centered on pit strategy.

Pit for fresh rubber, or stay out and take the lead? Run conservatively and save time in the pits, or be aggressive and try to stay out front? The choice is yours.

Qualifying will be VERY important for this race. The Admins and staff will be hosting Q sessions next week. These sessions will be 20 minutes long, reflecting the group qualifying procedure the current NASCAR rules call for. You must put up a time fast enough to be in the top 15 to race on Saturday. If you're in the top 5 when it's all over, we'll invite you to a second session to go for the pole position.

The race will be a 2 hour timer, and the winner of the race is the leader when the time runs out, which should be around a 200-mile distance.
