Have you ever wished for a series that was geared for the little guy? You know, a series that had a format dedicated to creating a truly level playing field that the fast guys couldn’t take advantage of?

How about a series that balanced the cars, and race-craft vs. raw skill equally enough so that your average league racer actually had a better than 50/50 chance of competing?

Ever excitedly join a series because one of your favorite cars was on offer, only to discover it was sadly and remarkably uncompetitive for all but the very fastest drivers?

Have you ever been in a series that had restrictions on how you were allowed to drive your car, like, with or without TCS, or ABS?

Ever been in a league event where the fastest guys always seem to somehow pick the fastest car every time?

Or maybe you’ve experienced a typical spec race where only the fastest drivers know the one magic setup that works way better than all the rest. Hmm?

Well, If these are some of the complaints you’ve had about other simulation racing formats over the years, then your ship has just come in and it’s time to hop on board the “IFCA Relay Challenge” series!

We get it, and we have had the same problems with your average racing series too, which is why we invented the unique team relay format. But it doesn’t stop there. We have purposely addressed every complaint we have had with your average league series so that those issues are minimized, and your fun is maximized with a fresh new approach.

IFCA Relay Challenge Jan 5th Empty Qualify today

Post by GTDon2 Sat 24 Nov 2018 - 17:50

If you are interested feel free to contact GTDon2, or join my lobby at 6:00 EST. I will be sending out invites to as many drivers as I can but if you aren't on my list, just jump into the party. The defending Champions will be there too.

Today is not the only day you can qualify to get into the IFCA Relay Challenge. Every Saturday for the next 6 Saturdays will give you another chance to qualify or re-qualify. It's 4 laps @ Daytona, and you can have a substitute driver qualify for your team. Substitution is promoted in this format because it helps sustain a team, and allows people to race who can't commit to a whole season too. So bring on those uber fast ringer friends and let them help you out!

Yes, it is a two man team event that requires two drivers. Basically, you each take turns doing 3 pit stops up to the 18th lap and then finish the last 8 laps together. Your first 2 pit stops you decide when to stop, and then everyone must stop at the end of the 18th lap. It makes for a very fun finish because it is hard to tell who is actually in the lead until you get to the last pit stop on lap 18.

IFCA Relay Challenge Jan 5th Empty Mock race Saturday

Post by GTDon2 Wed 12 Dec 2018 - 18:43

If you have a little free time on Saturday 6:00 EST we will be running a mock Daytona race for those who want to see how this works and for the new guys to get acclimated to the format. This will be an unrated practice race.

Don't worry about not having a partner, we always have a bunch of drivers who don't have a ready-made teammate that we can pair you up with. Expect an invite at that time and/or send me a FR, we hope to run as a multi-class as intended.

All 75 cars from both classes as well as which cars run best at Daytona are fully tuned and shared for the taking. In the upper "GS" class of S-Class cars we have identified 11 cars that are the best at Daytona, and 12 cars in the lower "ST" class using low A-Class and high B-Class cars.

IFCA Relay Challenge Jan 5th Empty Last Chance

Post by GTDon2 Sun 23 Dec 2018 - 16:34

Things are getting crowded in both classes, teams are on the bump bubble in this limited field contest, time to get serious if you want to make it into the series. Expect some Ringers to show up to help qualify some teams too at this late date with only 1 attempt left.

If you see your name paired with someone (on the qualifying list), please send them a PM and FR (Private Message and Friend Request) and make contact with them to form your team.

Each team should have a team name this week.

Yes, there are team liveries required. You need to be in the same livery but can have different colors.

Yes, you need to use the IFCA number plate SPEEDYJAB made but can use any number. Please search "IFCA" for the number plate.

Because this Saturday is the LAST CHANCE to improve your times, we will flexibly offer everyone the opportunity to qualify whenever myself and SPEEDYJAB are available this week to make it easier. So if you can't make it Saturday, and you see us on, better shoot us a message and we will set up a lobby.

Good luck!
