Re: 2014 MSA TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans General Discussion
To all of those that had a lag out or any other connection issues: Been there done that.
I know the pain that you feel, the thought of "letting your team down" and the like. Remember, its not your fault, it happens, and can happen to anybody. Keep your head up, as you tried. You showed up for your team. You made the effort. And most of all, do not give up, come back next time, support your team, and hope that luck goes your way next time. And there WILL be a next time.

My first race for TORA and my first OFFICIAL Endurance event. Racing for SCRL Racing (a team that originated on GT6) and we got in the teams first ever Endurance race as well... just want to say a big thanks to VAMR Wilson, Teddygtr and the CRA Lucozade Racing team for all the battles in Lobby B. It's been a great experience for all of SCRL Racing and we hope that the endurance races continue on Forza 4! If this is he next year, we'll be looking to grab a second Lobby B win!

Right thee creamy. First 3 colums of numbers. Not fully updated yet but Lobby B is secure (other than teams within 2-3k ft) Lobby A needs 3 more stints updated, Lobby B 1

Even if the live mileage isn't up yet we all have a rough idea on how it went due to looking at the feet between each of us, if its a pretty big number you have a good idea of where you've finished. It'd be nice to have some final confirmation though, especially in A lobby since it was so close with 3 stints missing!

This was my first endurance event and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I had some good pace in my stints although I did have a small technical issue in stint 3 that cost me around 20 seconds. Technical issue was my tv switching itself off due to inactivity lol. I had to pull off at the first corner whilst I frantically looked for the tv remote.
I'm not sure where we have finished yet but it was a good team effort, glad to have been part of it.
Great job guys.
Great racing with you Hamish, once again, I'm sorry for giving you that little tap in stint 5.

Re: 2014 MSA TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans General Discussion
Big shout out to HCR Mad Dog, who is responsible for keeping this race hosted and running. We had complications in both lobbies early on that set them back an hour or so. I was dreading how far behind we'd be by the end, but for the remaining 20 hours, we didn't fall any further back. That's better than the race has ever been run in its TORA history!
Big thanks to the lobby hosts for doing an excellent job from flag to flag. It's not easy gathering a lobby of people who have been racing for 6, 8, even 13 hours and 48 minutes!
Another big thanks goes to those who were responsible for this races media! ErebusV8 for the Pre-race show, Zeta0085 and TechnologicMau5 for the live stream and commentary, as well as Standaman94 for the awesome promo video and end of the race streaming. (Know that was the plan anyway)
Team wise, I would really like to thank The Bulin Wall5 and Rainonef1 for double stinting the LMR Red Dragon while I worked during the day. Also a big thanks to II ALEX P II who brought it home in the last 4 hours!
It was sad to see HCR Yamagura, Mushroom Kingdom Racers, and Champion Racing Team LMR taken out of the running by lag. While the Champion Racing car retired early, Yamagura and MKR were putting in such a great drive all day and into the night. It really was a heart breaker when they were stopped in their tracks.
Anyways, thanks for running everyone! I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did!

No problem rainone, I think it was only 6% on either side and didn't affect the handling. Hope you didn't get too much damage either.

Re: 2014 MSA TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans General Discussion
This was the most enjoyable endurance race I have ever done.
Big thanks to my teammates for putting up with me not being around much the last few weeks. Very happy to run with Fleaver again. Wilson put in some great stints in the M3. And Hailfire kept everything somewhat organized. We had some lagouts and I got lag bombed but we still ran a great race.
The guys running in B lobby were great. Everything was relaxed and lighthearted without descending into utter chaos. I hope to see all those drivers racing at TORA in the future. THO Shooter and Daryl The Crude put in herculean efforts with both running 5 consecutive stints.
Also a big thanks to all of the lobby hosts and everyone else that made this event happen.

I feel truly horrible that it was "me" that lagbombed you.
I had heard someone say that I was lagging for them, and was watching my telemetry to see if I was gapping/getting caught, and it said I was getting away from that pack, so I was pushing hard to get away from everyone to be safe for all. To hear some 6-7 hours later that you had hit a "parked" me was truly devastating. I am terribly sorry for that, but was trying as hard as I could to avoid that from happening.

Im a broken man!! After 10 hrs racing 28hrs awake i can easily say that was the most difficult race ive ever done we didnt make it much past 12hrs last yr. Well done to all the racing was lots of fun throughout great battle with Cerberus early on. Shame about the lag outs it was building to a big finish for 2nd in gte
Re: 2014 MSA TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans General Discussion
I had brilliant fun, racing people who are quicker than me on a daily basis! It was fun and I hope to see you all again at some point in the future ! Thanks Mad Dog for keeping the show on the road!

Heartbreaking that the MKR car started running into issues towards the end. Was really hoping to have a close finish with the Yamagura guys at the end. Still absolutely enjoyed the event. Thanks to everyone for making this run smoothly!

I am utterly gob smacked at the amount of people who have shared a thought or a word about my challenging race.. my arms have just about stopped hurting and that was the only reason why i had to retire.
Fantastic racing through out the event though and im looking forward to the next, hopefully with more reliable drivers.
13hrs 48 mins is a long long time for anybody to do. But worth it in the end. I dont know where we finished but either way we had a fantastic time racing with everyone in Lobby B, see you all on track soon and again....
Thank you so much for helping this event run smoothly. Honestly ive never been this happy about a race before. Thank you for your thoughts and words. I will cherish this race for a long long time.

Was an epic effort Shooter. Me and Mad Dog did 10hrs each and couldnt physically do any more. So close to writing the car off in those last 4hrs.

Stint 10 for SCRL Racing hasn't been updated yet? Is it still being updated or have you finished? I did 218 miles in stint 10 (I was backup for CossyMan95)

Re: 2014 MSA TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans General Discussion
It was a sterling effort, I think the hardest thing and what did it for you Shooter, is doing 13 odd hours basically in one go. My 8 were spread out and apart from feeling sick from lack of sleep my driving was good and smooth.
I think 12 hours can be managed though, with thought and lots of balls! First two stints on, next two off, next two on, sleep, and then last two. At least that might be my plan for the next 24 hour race.

Re: 2014 MSA TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans General Discussion
Top Job Bandit, without you we would have been a mess. After the first couple of stints I thought we was going to be on for the 28 hours of Le mans but we pulled it back together and never strayed more than just an hour behind. Great work from everyone who hosted, took results and just helped make it run as smooth as it did.
Oh yeah results are updated with all information but I wouldn't say these are confirmed as final just yet, new thread will be made once the results are finalised!
