The issue was that cars would violently bounce off sharp barrier edges and block the track causing much crashing and death. The bridge was a huge accident spot

In the rulebook thread, under teams championship, it says that a team must have a minimum of 2 drivers. But could I run a 1 man team that only scored points in the drivers championship?

Yes you would be classed as a privateer and just score points towards driver championship

It's not the matter of slowing down, there is a bump at the entrance to the bridge ; take the wrong line and it throws your car into a spin!
