Brilliant experience in Lobby A!

Great racing between F4H Diablo, Micko and I almost through out the entire race. I had a bit of lag with Diablo, but amazingly it didn't throw me off too much.

I only hope Yas Marina can provide the same adrenaline rush I experienced in roughly lap 7 to 9.

Great race last night. Messed up qually bad new my pace would be alot better in the race. The fight between myself, Diablo and Jay was great! I thought you would catch me at the second to last lap when I messed up the last turn

Seriously screwed myself a few laps earlier, I thought I engine braked a bit too hard and wanted to see if it caused any damage. The genius that I am decided going into the hair pin and through the Schumacher S's that I'd bring up the damage stats. It completely through me off and slowed me down by a good second or 2.

I thought I had the pace to pass you when you pitted, unfortunately not, just soo close to getting it. lol

Got from 10th to 5th somehow in the first lap, most people were pitting so I stayed out to get some clean air, only to then bin it into the chicane wall!

Great race last night, looked a great race for 2nd, haf a pretty faultless race so im happy

I should have qualified in the mid 2:00 range but I totally goofed it over that chicane on every fast lap. I am disappointed I couldn't race, I was really looking forward to it! I cannot wait to be done with the 458 either! Unless something gets changed on it, i see no point in running it in the next season.

looks like mamu and i have a nice shootout for the rest of the series though

seems to be the XPR luck lately, I lost it on the curb on exit of the last corner. really happy I managed 7th tho

Hi, dont know if this helps with the stewards enquires put in against BDR blackbird in Sundays race at YAS but after MAMU knocked me off at the chicaine i came back onto the track out of control and clipped the rear left hand side of Blackbirds car effecting a pit manouver resulting in mass pile up. I havent and wont be putting a SI in against MAMU but it might help the stewards to watch the build up to the whole sorry mess. hope this helps. sincearly BDR Highlander.

ermmm knocked you off ? would you like to check the replay footage ? You were behind going into the corner and off the race line. I followed the race line and was ahead going into the corner, meaning that by continuing into the corner the way you did actually obstructed my line so my options were limited to running myself off the track for no reason or stick to the race line, I stuck to the race line as was my choice.

I get the frustration and I dont mean to cause upset but my options were limited. I had the right to the position going into the turn, i drive in bonnet view and you weren't alongside or ahead of me going into that corner. Im all for reviewing the data and also accepting cause for you coming off the track IF you were ahead going into the corner but your return to the track is a different matter. I have replay data saved, so ill look at it again.


Race Rules:

Blocking

7.5.8 A driver may choose to protect his or her line so long as it is not considered blocking. Blocking is defined as two (2) consecutive line changes to “protect his/her line,” and in doing so, impedes the vehicle that is trying to pass with each of the two (2) consecutive movements. Drivers are encouraged to check with the Race Director for a full explanation before the start of the race. If, in the case of side-to-side contact, one of the two cars leaves the racing surface (involuntarily) then it may still be considered “a racing incident.”

Right to the Line

7.5.9 The driver in front has the right to choose any line, so long as not to be considered blocking. The driver attempting to make a pass shall have the right to the line when their front wheel is next to the driver of the other vehicle. Note: This rule may be superseded by class specific rules.

Rejoining the track

7.5.18 If all four wheels have left the track or you have become caught on sticky grass or sand you must rejoin at the nearest point compatible with safety. It is unfair and unacceptable to simply rejoin the circuit as quickly as possible without any regard for the drivers around you who have been able to retain control of their car. If this means stopping at the side of the circuit until safe to rejoin then that is what you must do, even if that means you rejoin last.

Actually it was not completely related to an SI, it was some rubbing that occurred 2 turns prior, Paul was just flagging it up so I could look into it myself.
