1:11:297 with the GT86, which clearly shows that I'm the newbie here :-)
I'm still learning to drive without ABS. Do you use TCS?

Re: TORA Rogue Motorsport Cup - Lap Times
TCS is optional.
weening off ABS does take its time. once you get used to it, start upping the brake pressure. when i started here at TORA, i ran the defaults w/o abs, but i'm now currently comfortable having pressures around 110%-125% (ran 200% in the '07 Civic Type-R in the last NATCC season on FM4)

1:07.3 with the stock tune, definitely more in it as I gave up after the 3rd time I crashed it in 6 laps 😂

After tuning the brakes pressure and gear ratios and go for about 10 practice laps, I've improved 1 second. Now I'm on 1:10:298. If I improve one second more, I'll be happy enough!

1:07.0xx is my best so far. I'd forgotten how hard the GT86-F is to drive without TCS. Might give it a go with traction control on.

Re: TORA Rogue Motorsport Cup - Lap Times
Don't know how you do it mate. Bloody quick.
I tried testing with TCS on and I'm about 3 tenths of a second slower. Hmmmm....
Can't improve on a 1:07.0xx but will keep trying

Re: TORA Rogue Motorsport Cup - Lap Times
1:06.8, have yet to try without TCS. People seem to be going quicker without it so there's hope yet
Re: TORA Rogue Motorsport Cup - Lap Times
Might not be a bad idea at all mate. What I find with this car in particular is if you use TCS, it tends to strangle the power quite a lot, no matter what you do the differential settings.
Speaking of which with the diff, what ever you do with TCS off, don't set it below 20% on acceleration. What I found out is that one rear wheel tends to spin faster than the other which is quite odd. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this as well.

Re: TORA Rogue Motorsport Cup - Lap Times
Well I tried with TCS off, just can't get to grips with it (quite literally) so I've switched back to having it on. As for the differential, I'd agree with what you said, I had it at about 16% at one point and the rear end was very unstable under acceleration, so I'm now running it just above 20% so the back end flicks out, helping me round the corner.ATR DAN wrote:Might not be a bad idea at all mate. Anyway, now down to a 1:06.5, potential for an 06.3

1:15:1 here, after like 30 laps trying to learn the braking points haha. I think I'm ready!

Re: TORA Rogue Motorsport Cup - Lap Times
Still getting used to the game but managed a 1:08.574 with some tuning. Still very new to this game so going to struggle for a while i think. Handling physics are so much different to FM4.
This is my opening series to TORA on FM5, Bring it on!

I've only hit the 1:14s a few times, averaging 1:15.2 so at the very least we'll have some fun racing each other!!. Need to see how much difference the LSD we're allowed to use will make.

Heck yeah! I'm around the same, maybe a couple tenths slower, but it'll definitely be a good race. I've done quite a few laps around the circuit, trying to get as consistent as possible. I think I've gotten all I can out of the car, it feels good.
