Here for the rallycross...

How's it going, folks? My name's Chris Leone, and if you've followed Red Bull Global Rallycross in the past couple of years chances are you've heard of me. I run the website and social accounts, write the articles, track the points, credential our media members... pretty much anything to do with series media is run through me.

So of course when I saw the teaser video for your new rallycross series, I had to dig in a little more... while you guys really ought to get to work on repping the right series with that logo of yours it's a fun concept. I'll be monitoring what's going on keenly to report to my bosses, and schedule permitting I'll try to jump behind the wheel for a race or two. (I definitely won't be available to run the first event as I'll be in Maine covering our drivers who are competing in Red Bull Frozen Rush.)

Since bringing the concept of Global Rallycross to the tarmac based Forza Motorsport 4 is my creation, I hope to make you and your organization proud. I was hoping that "GRX" was generic enough to not bring any cease and desist orders based on any copyright infringements, while still letting people have a clue of what the series is all about.

Oh, understood completely. I will say this—I wouldn't expect any cease and desist orders from us if that X turns to a C. We're the only racing series (that I know of) with a presence on Jalopnik, I float "official" versions of our liveries through Horizon 2 whenever I've got time to finish them up, so on... we're a racing series geared towards millennials, and that means being disruptive, finding ways to keep your brand in the collective consciousness. We have to be creative, you know?

(I hate that other series' logo, too. I don't hate it when ours replaces it one bit. )

About the series logo... as a "TCR" event, the GRX is at this point a 'casual" series, and as such there never was an official logo for it, and there really isn't a logo as such.
