TORA Pro GT - Lobby Host Instructions

Hey guys,

The Pro GT Championship tests new approaches to mixing endurance racing with multiple round series racing. In order to do this, the lobby hosts will have to perform tasks throughout the stint that are different from what they've grown use to on TORA in the past.

While this is intended for the lobby hosts, it is important that all participants read this and understand how each stint will work.


Pre Stint

- Be in contact with LMR Deftone MX &/or II ALEX P II to receive for the grid order and to know who will be in your lobby.

- Find out who the host of the opposing lobby is. In the case that a driver from lobby A cannot connect, they will start from the back of lobby B and the original lobby B pole sitter will start from the back of A. If a B lobby driver cannot connect, they will start in the back of A and the original last place starter will be on pole in lobby B.



Pace Lap

- Instruct cars to get in the predetermined order on the pace lap and keep speeds at a controlled pace which allows the pack to stay closely knit. Instruct the pole sitter to reduce speed to 60 approaching the end of the lap to allow the field to bunch up.

- (STINT 1 Only) Instruct the lobby to grid up in standard rolling start procedure in rows of two. Reduce speed accordingly. Instruct the pole sitter to inform you of the Race Time in which he has exited the last corner. Inform him he may call the start once the final car is out of the last corner.

- (STINTS 2, 3, & 4) Instruct the lobby to remain single file as the feild approaches the end of the lap. These stints will have a caution style restart. Inform the pole sitter to give you the Race Time in which he crosses the start/finish line. When approaching the final corner, instruct the pole sitter to stack the feild up. Once he has exited the final corner he is free to be begin accelerating away as the race is on once he crosses the line.

- It's very important that the time in which these stints begin is taken down! If you are unable to get the information on first lap, you must get the lap time of the leader, and the Race Time in which he starts his 2nd flying lap. If you fail to attain this time, it is very important that the replay is saved.



In Stint

- Make sure everyone fulfills their one manditory pit stop.

- As the Stint grows close to the end, determine if there are cars a lap down. In the case that there are, inform drivers to pause their game after they have crossed the line to finish their stint. This will send their cars off the track and out of the way. Remind drivers as they begin to finish. Also warn drivers a lap down that there will be cars stopped around the turn 1 area.



Post Stint

- Inform lobby members to remember their total Race Time and to snap a picture of the end results if possible. Snap a picture and record as many Race Times as you can on your own.

- Contact the organizer or post stint results in the Race Day Thread.
