Hmm seems a big dodgy to change the rules after the series has been completed but hey that's up to you guys

has been confirmed that it was incorrect, dropped round for driver and privateers but not teams

It was stated after Round 1...

Teams could put forward three drivers with the top two scoring so the connection issues for Round 1 didn't affect the scoring.

Stan posted an update here on 12 March after round 1:


"Also, there is now a dropped round in the standings after all this kerfuffle. So your worst-placed race will not be counted (for drivers and teams champs)"

I'm going off what Stan said in the Race lobby.

The drop round was introduced after the (unfair) connection issues in R1.

I do believe it has said that there will be a dropped round for all three championships since the rules were updated.

I had imagined the connection issues would have made a more significant impact for the teams but that hasn't necessarily been the case it seems.

But since the rules had been posted up with that update since Round 1, it will remain that way as it is only fair. As such, only the five best-scoring rounds a team has had will account for the Teams Championship.

The standings will be updated in due course.

That don't seem fair at all to change the rules after the series has already started. Every series I've done before has given anyone who couldn't connect points for last for that round or postpone the race if it's that bad. Don't see why this series should be any different

I just want a Drop Round for Championship Standings, but there has Never ever been a Drop round for Team Standings from what i have been in.

In championships before, when there has been a round with severe connection issues we have implemented a dropped round mid-season.

If may not be fair to have your least-scoring round unaccounted for, but what's even more unfair is not being able to race because Xbox Live isn't cooperating.

they miss round 5 (not round one) aswell

This isn't the first time a drop round has been added during the middle of a series. The only time it is added is when there is a connection issue due to XBL and would be even more unfair on the many people that signed up, practiced and was there for the first round than who would lose out from a drop round being added.

Woah enough with the CQR bashing already, i/we didn't write the rules or amend them after round 1, I merely pointed out that the standings were incorrect based on the rules posted.

I Could'nt make Round 1 due to XBL Issues and so couldnt a few others that was why the the Drop Round was Added for Individual Standings not for Teams, as everyone had Cover in teams who wanted 2 Compete for a title.

Makes no odds to me, the MVG collective of "in it for the fun mature gamers" still finish second in both classes either way. I'd be less happy if I were the Benedict racing guys however...

These changes were made after round one. Problems with those changes should have been brought up then. Waiting until the series finished to ask for a rule change is silly. It was mentioned on the forum after the first round and no one complained so if you have a problem with it now. Tough [Censored]. Deal with it. You should have brought it up when it was first mentioned

The rules haven't been updated since right after Round 1.

The dropped teams scores were mentioned to me in the Google Docs chat and I simply replied:

"fair point I suppose
stil needs a dropped round for Privateers though"

At no point did I confirm there will not be a dropped round in the teams, nor did I officially alter the rules.

In fact, I wasn't even in any race lobby tonight because my own bleedin Xbox wouldn't stay connected to XBL.

so a little team that deserves the team champion don't win it cause a big team moans not happy at all

If this were only to compensate the drivers who missed R1 how about you give them points for bottom of the lobby they would have qualied for and then you don't have to change the rules for everyone?

What has size of team go to do with following rules?

The rules state (and have done so since after round 1):

"There is a dropped round in the championships. The race in which the driver/team/privateer scored the lowest amount of points will not be included in the final scores."

When I noticed the standings DIDN'T reflect this, I raised the point. Me, not CQR, me a person racing in a championship organised here at TORA. I'm a competitor here in this championship, do I not have a right to ask if the rules are being followed correctly?

just seems little teams do well in something and we get it thrown back at us, we turned up to every race and made sure there was always 3 drivers and every race and cause of that we get screwed over on a dropped round
