TORA Pro GT Sebring 500 - Allow Solo Efforts?

Eh, you'll always have dissenters no matter what decision you make. Do what you feel is in everyone's collective interest and go with it.

It was our choice originally to let the community decide the location of these one off races. The first polls for this was so close between 2 of the 4 options, and with plenty of time until the date, we decided to consolodate the vote to the two most popular.

The poll for solo efforts came purely based on the backlash. This poll sheds light on what we should decide to do. This poll does not decide itself and as Diablo said we need to think about everyone. While the most votes says no solo efforts, we have to consider how that will negatively effect those may not have a team, where as allowing solo doesn't really negatively effect anyone in particular, however as you said Lightning, endurance is a team endeavor.

In a side note - Ribbons for Road America will be handed out with the ones for Sebring!

Solo peeps should be allowed to solo run

Team peeps (in car clubs) should team up

I say let the registration go freely, and if we hit the cap, start enforcing teams.

20-13 in the favour of no should decide it. Whats the point in letting people have a say if it has no impact on the desicion.

Just because we're looking at more than just numbers doesn't mean it has no impact on the decision. Read my post above

Saying people not in a team can run solo is not realistic because we'd have to start policing and deciding who can and can't. Not professional, nor logistical.

For me it is very simple. You're either in a club or not and we all know each other at this stage. I fail to see the difficulty.

OK. Unfortunately the poll is not a landslide like we'd all hope, it is as of right now, 21-14 (60%-40%) in favour of no. That is a large amount of people who still want to run solo. I'm sorry to do this to you Collin but you're going to have to make an executive decision here and put your foot down about what the rule is otherwise we'll still be bickering come christmas.
