TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion

is this really what it's come down too now? Moaning about the sun being too low? The Avon Tyres not being warm enough, grippy enough?

I know I set the session just like Monday's at 1pm. So it wasn't Sunset, unless sunset is at 1pm?

If anyone has a problem with it then I will re run the session on Friday with the time that you want. Had enough.

So in detail what I'm trying to say is....

It was my fault that the session was screwed up.

Anyone in my Qually session who wants to re run let me know what time you want the game set for (for example let's say 3pm) and I will re run it for you.

If you set the lobby to 1pm then I don't know, but I definitely had the sun setting on my screen and also F4H Micko said the same. I'm not moaning, why can nobody say anything on TORA without someone over-reacting? i want an adult conversation not school playground bull. Chill James, I'm not after an argument or 3-4 page discussion and not once did I say it was your fault.

So you didn't have the sun setting on your console? If not, that is strange. I'd like to know how many had the same issue in that lobby.

I can run 32's easy with the weather/time settings correct but struggled for a 33 in my qualifying tonight, yet I jump into Deftones lobby for some laps tonight and do a 32.

Deano, I had sun, so did everyone. I just drove to the conditions. I'm not saying that you didn't. It was a bit annoying yeah I'm not going to lie but it's exactly like it was on Monday. If you want a re run then I will quite happily run a re run tommorow or along side the Friday sessions. Let me know yeah so I can have it set up

Ok, then it's definitely a game glitch or something because I promise you myself and Micko had sunset. It would be helpful to find out who else had the different time setting, surely we can't be the only 2.

I'd just like to know that I've had a fair shot at qualifying and I feel the game has robbed me of that by giving me a different and difficult time of day and I don't feel like I have. I'd like to run again, not sure about micko, I can ask him. I can do tomorrow or jump into a friday session if all are ok with that.

My stream is in render as we speak. So footage can become avalible at the earliest convenience. I'm sure Matt will review the footage but yeah I can try and slot a re run in. Need to know if Matt needs help with Friday 1st.

No worries James, I'm not keyboard raging at all bud, or posting any sarcastic comments, or "bitchn", I'm just letting you know what was what. I'll PM all who were in our lobby and see who had what time of day.

I know your not Deano, don't worry pal. I just thought does the date make a diffrence at all? My dat was set to yesterday (Wed 17 June 2015). That's the only oversight. I even set the thingy (weather progression and time progression) into 'Real Time'

I couldn't tell you what month you had it on. It looked like June but around 6-7pm, more likely 6 I think but I'd have to check myself to be definite on time. I know because I was there all weekend less than 2 weeks ago
Time Progression was defo on because the sun was dropping.

I had so many hopes for this game, but it's just one thing after another. If there's 200+ signed up, what problems will pop up for race weekends?

I honestly think this is a game issue and nothing you've done James. Especially if you've got footage. Just wish I'd xbox recorded that.

I don't post to whinge or whine. I've been directing people on the signups and clarifying issues. I posted about a issue that could affect the legitimacy of this weekends race (if left unresolved) and I was mocked and my complaint swept under the rug until my teammate posted about the issue directly. You cannot have different times for different qualifying sessions. That's an unfair advantage. There are over 200 people signed up for this series, the level of competition is immense, so yeah, details are going to get nitpicked.

I'm sorry for stirring things up, but to be mocked and have my concerns swept under the rug (in the same way as others) is absolutely unacceptable.

For all of those who question my settings for qualifying. I got out of bed to make you a short video on my settings. I even recorded it from the game load up so I can't be accused of anything. I personally think it's unacceptable that I got out of bed just to prove a stupid little thing. Oh and I rushedy stream footage through render so sorry about the peice of sh1t recording that I'm about to put up.

You apologise then post a message like that^ It's obviously aimed at me as I'm the one that's brought the problem up. I think it's unacceptable that when a problem occurs and someone brings it to attention, they get spoken to like something you'd tread in and receive sarcastic comments in return.

No, I haven't questioned your answers, You said you'd set it to 1pm and I take your word. Sorry that I had different on my game but what can I do other than mention it here, hoping to get a little help and understanding from the helpful staff here but I haven't.

Nobody asked you to get out of bed and make this video right now! It could've waited until tomorrow morning so I don't see who or what is unacceptable.

It's good to know that if any of US(The Racing community) have a problem, it'll be brushed off here at TORA as a "STUPID LITTLE THING" by Staff/CT or whoever else wants to have a pop. If it's such a "stupid little thing" why has it been blown way out of proportion?? What the hell happened here? Everyone is so aggressive and angry, what happened to helping each other? We're here to have fun yet everyone seems to have lost that somewhere, become too competitive, too big headed and taking cheap swipes at each other. I'm not here for that, It's petty and immature and belongs on the school playground. 

I'd like to hear from a senior staff member on this issue please as I'm getting nowhere with TORA CT.

Im actually quicker at that time of day when it's easier to push and keep the tire temps down. I've avoided doing it out of bad habit.

It should be fair conditions. If it's wasn't your fault James, then you're all good dude, but there was no reason why it couldn't wait til morning.

Deano how does 7PM GMT tonight work? I think both of you are being a little over sensitive with each other, but you do deserve another session if it caused you problems being at dusk. Micko and any of the others can join as well, granted they feel it impacted their session.

Thank you to everyone in my lobby last night. Great feeling of positivism and gratitude for running the session and bringing in extra guys who initially missed out.
