Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
There were multiple times I didn't expect you to be stopped on the track out of blind corners in the last sector, and another time where you interfered with a battle for position in GT3 with no GT4s near you, but let's just move on to round 2.BG Wumba wrote:There are places last night that I never expected to be overtaken at by a GT3 car because it's just downright risky, some were more patient than others but at times it was crossing the line, just using common sense applies here

Why say move on but you are quite happy to point fingers and name names I lost a wheel and was off the track in the first race and I was holding the racing line when you say you were squeezed you could have just waited but the two places you overtook me were a dive down the last corner and on the first chicane, places where there are straights right after and interfering is not the word you want to use when you race multi-class, it's part of racing buddy.

You mean the type of interfering where the GT3 car is supposed to make safe overtake and the GT4 should stay on the racing line...?BG Wumba wrote:LMR Harmonic wrote:There were multiple times I didn't expect you to be stopped on the track out of blind corners in the last sector, and another time where you interfered with a battle for position in GT3 with no GT4s near you, but let's just move on to round 2.BG Wumba wrote:There are places last night that I never expected to be overtaken at by a GT3 car because it's just downright risky, some were more patient than others but at times it was crossing the line, just using common sense applies here

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
With regards to racing multi-class the slower car class should hold the racing line and the faster car class goes around
you of all people lmr deftone should know and its not a case of just move on to the next race its an issue that faster drivers do not seem to get through there skull
yes you are racing others in your class but you have to respect the fact there is a slower class and rules are rules about time people abid by them

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Out of turn 1 headed for two, you drove down the middle of the track making my job much harder for no apparent reason. I wanted to go the left as that was the safer route, but you left me no room to do so. I was forced to go right, then you seemed to move that way. You weren't battling with anyone so not sure what the need was for you to use all the track with a pack of cars quickly approaching.
Headed to the last corner, again you not battling with anyone, we were door to door when I started braking, yet you went deeper than I, buried it into the corner and came in on me as if I was your competitor that you did not want getting passed. It wasn't a dive bomb I was there the whole time.
My intent is not to complain. I only point this out because you made a point of saying we were too aggressive. It wasn't our aggression, but the lengths we had to go to accommodate your lack of cooperation with the cars approaching.
I really don't want to argue about this, but I do wish to make my point as I have. Really had a good time yesterday so I'm not going to say anymore.

As a GT3 driver I have got it though my skull that we need to make a safe overtake... but its YOUR job as a GT4 driver to make it very clear witch way you are going whether it be staying on the racing line or staying to one side of the track.

From what I have read only the bad GT4 drivers are complaining about the GT3 cars over taking them.

You make me laugh wingnut mate. How long you been on TORA?... A long time.. Well a well seasond veteran like you should know that the TORA rules for multi class is that the slower class (GT4) is to stay on the racing line, so that us GT3 know where you are going to be, thus making it safer... Stop being silly now come on

In lobby "F" antastic we had no comms, and no problems as gt3 I flashed my light's they choose a line and held it ,I passed some on the inside, some on the out it was good hard racing
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
if you feel very strongly that GT3 car are not being fair when over taking GT4 cars then complain to the people who are running the TORA British GT.

What right do you have in this Argument, you didn't see what happened. But if two GT3 cars are battling for position and a GT4 car is alone and has nothing to lose by moving out the way, they should. Also oulton being a small tight track, waiting till the next straight cannot happen when battling because the straights are not long enough and it puts the gt3 car ahead at a big advantage and it doesnt become a battle anymore therefore ruining the 2nd GT3 car.

i have any right as the next person to be involved in any discussion and stating a fact that is clear and always a problem with multi class races on here because the quicker class always believes they have the right of way and still to this day it never gets addressed and sorted out

You'd have a point if the GT4s in question actually STAYED ON the racing line. Oh well, just weave about as you please. It'll make me enjoy an SI submission that much more.BG Wingnut396 wrote:no its not a GT4 job to say where they are going they stay on there racing line and you have to go around clearly this is going through your skull and out the otherside

BG Wingnut maybe its the people who were in your lobby because I have been racing on TORA for 3 years now and I have had no problems in multi car racing only when you are in with new people or people who are not use to multi car racing you will have lapping problems... but I will say it again complain here in will not fix the problems witch you "say" are happening.

Well you clearly haven't seen Le mans, you have to push you way past or you dont get past. it all depends on where you catch them on track and in situations you have to force it because your racing. Have you ever raced in LMP 1 or the higher class to get cut off in position and watch the other driver get away? At times GT4 cars make your life feel like you have been robbed and your trying to catch the guy but the crowd doesnt move out the way. Remember this series is a sprint not an endurance so the higher cars lose out more than they would in a WEC race.

Clearly this discussion has been escalated by a few people in particular who decided to turn this into a GT3 vs GT4 discussion by pointing fingers and not able to agree to disagree.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
To be fair in my lobby it was some of the GT3 cars being impatient and barging GT4 cars off the track and even doing it to other GT3 cars. I am in GT3 and i was victim to 3 of these incidents where i was right up alongside someone and was left no room at all and forced onto the grass. Certain drivers need to calm down and remember that there are 2 races going on and respect should be given to all drivers. No one is perfect but some are better than others.
