You're right and I think Silverstone is one of those 'balance circuits where you either go higher d/f and lose the top end on the straights or you trim it back and are a little less confident in the fast corners.
When I think of 'high' d/f tracks though I do generally look to Monaco, Hungaroring, that sort of place.
Fun circuit though and extremely rewarding when you get good laps in. I do miss Bridge and Priory though, that was way more fun than the Loop. That being said, I love the build up of speed on the exit there and through Aintree.
Abbey is also bloody good fun in the right car.
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
based on Pcars tuning, siverstone is a low DF track and no one can argue with that because all the fastest drivers used low/mid downforce. Having downforce on this game creates too much drag and you will see that lower DF helps cornering ability on high speed corners.

Thanks Chriaq - there's loads of great features coming that we specifically asked for and had been talking to SMS about for a little while. Really pleased they're listening to their community.
In other news please note that the next two rounds are on consecutive weekends. This means that Brands Hatch is on the 16th Aug as normal and Snetterton will be on 23rd Aug. That makes our final round of the championship at Donington Park the 6th September.
Reason for this? To avoid the launch week of FM6 where attention will naturally lean toward that as the excitement builds.

That is a terrible reason and no justification to change dates.
The calendar was set a the beggining of the champioship and people changed/adapted their schedules in order to attend the races. Now, at the middle of the tournament, dates are changed. For the second time as I recall.
Obviously, I won´t be able to attend Snetterton (even Donington maybe) due to change, hence why I´m complaining.
Same thing happened with Euro GT. Stop changing dates, please. It is becoming annoying.

I sincerly hope that this is the last series that we ever see on Project CARS until all bugs are sorted. The amount of glitches and issues that have occured is unbelievable.

The game hasn't been THAT bad I think the PCars has been used prematurely for a series but it hasn't been a complete failure connor. As long as the majority are in a party then the game works fine providing you don't pit for fear of the tires and wheels glitch but other than that its been no different to a forza series in my book.
Big shame and thumbs down for the date change though messed with my calender a lot - I know I'm only 44th in the series but it takes the piddle some what IMO

There's more coming - there's already the M1 championship and I know some of the guys are planning a few little stock championships. Remember this isn't a HUGE budget game, it's not Forza so it's unfair to compare to some degree.
Yes there's been bugs but SMS deal with them a damn sight quicker than a lot of developers. As for running a series, well someone had to be first! I'd rather we did what we have done and make the most of it have some fun along the way AND help the developer improve the product with features WE want to see.
That's way better than moaning about it, doing nothing to improve the situation and letting it gather dust on the shelf. When FM6 comes out I'll certainly still be playing CARS
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
At no point did I say pack up Project CARS for good. I am aware of the fact that the budget was nowhere near as big as Forza. All I said was that due to the number of bugs in Project CARS at the moment, people are having there races affected. I was getting at the fact that until these bugs have been fixed, it would probably be best to keep series down to minor series.

1. I don't dislike Project CARS at all, what I dislike is the number of glitches and bugs.
2. I was unaware of these glitches and bugs when I bought the game, seeing as though they delayed it to fix bugs I was under the impression that the bugs were fixed.

That's an opinion shared by many. We're all very frustrated at some of the missing content and bugs that affect what could and should be a massively important and exciting title.
That being said, it's getting there and there's still a lot to love about CARS
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
It will never be what it could without dedicated servers, what kind of budget is needed when developer's steal ?
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Best of luck this weekend guys!
Won't be making this round as I'll be at Laguna Seca for the Historics!.. Or as it's now called - The Monterey Motorsports Reunion.

What date will Donington be? Also you should add a dropped round to the team standings since you've jumbled the calendar dates around.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I was just looking at the Privateer Standings. I did a little math, and dropped everyone's current lowest score.
There are 10 points separating first and third.
The best of luck to my competitors leading into the rest of the season!
