Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
[quote="Godric VXR"]Thats it, I give up. An hour and five minutes and all I managed to do was two laps in warm up. I can't wait around for this to get going. I have to be up for work in less than seven hours.
I suggest most humbly that lobby 7 should be re-run at a later date. The connection issues tonight were impossible. I was invited to at least five different lobbies by our nominated host before he gave up and another tried to take over. We were sat in that lobby with nothing happening for at least fifteen minutes before I threw in the towel.
I work away all week so won't be available for a do-over Monday to Friday, but if we can get this arranged so as not to ruin the championship hopes of fifteen racers, it would be a good idea. [/quotel]I agree bud

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Hunty1981 you tried very hard! Hope you and others got a race in the rain! If not, better luck next time. Have a good night and thanks for the umpteen invites
Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
I shall apologize on behalf of tora...unfortunately they cant see the game is still very much broken and refuse to believe people are still having troubles so for that I am sorry your first experience of tora race was not a pleasant one...hopefully patch 2.0 might solve some issues..n7thGear wrote:Hunty1981 you tried very hard! I agree 100% there. Thank you for trying Hunty.
Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
I find it a real shame that after and hour and half of trying to start race 1 I have only driven 1 lap.
Nothing against you Hunty you know that.
But the organisation should really ask itself how can you live with this?
I'm out for tonight and if Round 3 doesn't go any better I'm withdrawing myself from this series.

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
I'm done for tonight. Some of the things I've seen today have been appalling...
Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Am sorry,,,but that was without doubt the poorest sorted lobby I have ever taken part in during my time here at Tora.
I try to be positive on the whole, as i understand how stressful getting these events together.can be....but the initial setting up of the game and respective parties way terrible. GT3 class was left without instruction,,,and the amount of random chat was hellish during the first race....the field had no idea what to do as regards stopping on the final lap to allow the host to record result... then the setting up of the second race was nothing short of non-existent. Zero communication,,,,i was left to try and setup the GT3 party and whilst doing so the field had grided up,,,(must be by guesswork as i had no communication whatsoever!!) and had started the race whilst i was in the process of inviting my fellow GT3 racers to a party to we could co-ordinate the start of the race!!! seeing there was no GT3 party IN PLACE am at a loss to see how the GT4 class could have got underway.
A very poor evening am afraid.

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
I was very skeptical about how things would be run for the race, but everything went pretty smoothly in Lobby 2 (kudos to Javier )
Though, I think there needs to be a few revisions to really consider, especially with a 3 hour race coming up with 2 stints....

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Lobby 6 went well again.
Good racing even in the extremely tricky conditions. Race 1 was really exciting and bloody scary in the spray.
Race 2...well that ended at the first corner really. Pit stop to fix damage and I didn't check my settings and had mediums put on the car. Pit again to change to Inters...a bit of a gamble and that didn't work so pit stop 3 for full wets and fighting to catch and unlap myself.
Lots of fun and good communication amongst the drivers on the whole.
WheresMouse, you're a star with the GT4s thank you very much

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Aside from the hair-raising rain, lobby D went rather smoothly. A special thank you to our host, technicalmau5, and to all of the GT4's for sticking to the line in the bends and to one side on the straights.
There were a couple accidents as expected, and one had a hard time connecting. I, for one, spun at the first chicane in both races. Sorry for the damage I caused.
Bring on Silverstone!

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Well I was in lobby 3 and first race went smooth but second race closed down after 4 laps and that was it, not sure what happened to anyone else in that race? Also someone was jumping around with bad connection and took me out, not fussed with that that happens but it just closing down and no race finish, but annoying!

Thanks Matt. Let me know if you need anything. Our lobby went great you are a wonderful host. Both races went really well aside from that 1st corner on the second race. Good eyes and great communication got us gt4s through it well. Sucks it took you out. For everyone in lobby 6 Great racing you all did great.

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Well, Lobby 3 went great and not so great. The organization, GT4 blokes and overall racing was fantastic.
The not so good is Project CARS and a Z4. The game crashed on all of us in lap four of the second race. Lots of people got disconnected before it, too.
Finally, a BMW Z4. This very slow car would not let the GT4 leaders pass causing major disruption in the race. It was also not running with its headlights on and was brake checking in the first sector, every single time.

Re: Round 2: Zolder Discussion Thread
Good racing in lobby 5 had fun the lobby was stable for me. Had a crash in the second race tho and my game disconnected when the timer was at 90 seconds so I couldn't save the replay, hopefully the guy who was involved saved it.
See you next race
