Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Changed the name of the thread. Who'd like to have a World Sports Car championship in the future?
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
The question is whether it's really necessary to have three different classes. I think it would be cooler to have only LMP2/LMP1 and GTE. The grid that fights against each other would be bigger

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Yeah I agree with this. If project cars supported 24 players then it would be ideal

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
I think P2 and GTE is enough classes for the first event, I would absolutely be up for a sportscar championship on project cars.
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Yes P2 and GTE so the difference is not THAAAT big would make the fights even more frustrating because you can't pass the slower cars that easy

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
So do you all prefer to simulate a 3 hour ELMS race? 3 hours at Silverstone, P2 and GTE only? I'm all up for it just as long as everyone agrees with it!
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
i wouldnt mind giving it a go as i might go for GT car since i used one in the only gt series for p cars.also i now own a wheel but lacks force feedback so its going to take time to learn new braking points so that it wont spin out.

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Elms is 4 hours but that's not as easily de visible by 90min stints so would need to go to 2 hour ones like in TEC on forza.
I'm happy with any length race on project cars I love the physics and the fact that I could choose to double stint tyres

this all sounds really good. The P2 and GTE/GT3 sounds really good

yeah, especially if you crank the downforce on the P2 cars, there's no much top speed difference at all...
i suggest a few official practice sessions in the weeks leading up to the race to get up to speed

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
I think P2/GTE is something new I never ran that before, I raced in a Multiclass Series in another league and I sat in the Marek LMP1. The multiclass aspect is not really there with such a small grid. I mean the GT3s are only small obstacles that occur once each 3 rounds or something like that. With P2 and GTE the margin is smaller and this makes racing much more eventful. I mean if you sit in the faster car it's not 100% sure that you can pass the GTE on the straight, you have to look for the gap.
Let's organise some events just to test it out like said before.

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Alright, an ELMS race it shall be! Two stints, two hours each (90 minutes of running)! The rest of the rules shall remain the same! I think we can get an official thread started? I like where this is going. Would you all like to have a test session on the 23rd of January? Anyone is welcomed!
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Ill look further into this, if the times for the meetings are all good, then count me in.

Actually, scratch that. Bathurst 12 hour is on that day. Hmm, looks like I should probably move the date of the race closer to the actual 4H at Silverstone. Will take a look.
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Closer to the real race is a good idea and we can schedule a round at imola near that race date if Silverstone goes well.

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
How about use the original race day as the test session so we can work out exact logistics and then look to do the race the weekend after the ELMS/ WEC round at Silverstone providing it doesn't clash with any other TORA event.
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Not too sure if the real race would provide us with any additional information on how the event could be organized. I thought of doing it a week before that way we can get even more excited about the real race.
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
I said the week after for purely selfish reasons as I am on holiday the weekend before it wasn't that we would be able to learn anything from the actual race.
Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
I'm packed with apps and ready to race!
Any dates for testing?

Re: (WSC?) 6H of Silverstone
Sorry all, I've been a bit busy dealing with work, college, and the TEC Daytona race. I'm thinking of organizing a little test session on the 12th of March (I'm hoping no TORA race takes place on that weekend) with the race taking place on the 9th of April, just a week before the real ELMS season opener at Silverstone. Anyone ok with this?
