It's all good John, you did a fine job! Every series has it's little hiccups, especially at the beginning. I think the guys just would like a clear and consistent procedure so they are comfortable with the nights proceedings and know exactly what to expect.
Qualifying should remain at 6 laps for all tracks, as that is more than sufficient. The only exception may be Road America, due to it's length. I would say 5 max there.
There is no escaping the grid lap for race two. Even if we restarted the lobby and did a grid lap at Camino, the outcome would be the same, as the grid lap would upset the lobby points.
It just needs to be decided then, rolling or standing start. I'm fine with either. I'm sure Mikey will sort it all out.

Looking forward to next week with more passing zones. I saw Windcharger's rear bumper in my sleep last night.

Thank you John for taking over hosting duties last night. Seems that a typo was in the Qualifying Rules (7? not sure how that happened)
As far as remaining rounds, I think it will be Standing 3-2-1 Start in Race 1, with a Rolling Start in Race 2. Given the length of Road America, the Race 2 Start line will be the bridge after turn 3.
As far as "Ghosting", that is due to the Default Collision settings. It is sometimes used as a safeguard to minimize the sort of lag damage that we had endured in prior series. I hadn't heard of it ever being an issue before.

And, as long as my employer heeds the memo I sent him last night, I should have the next four Thursday nights off from work.
Re: TORA US Spec Miata Cup Rd 2: Suzuka East
Mikey, I would suggest changing damage to cosmetic if you're worried about lag issues. Though, that won't change anything related to the cause of lag. It would only mean a driver's car isn't trashed if hit by lag. In my opinion, collisions should be Always On in a race.
Re: TORA US Spec Miata Cup Rd 2: Suzuka East
I've come to the conclusion that cosmetic damage encourages aggressive driving. For this reason, except in rare instances (no pits) I not just will not host races in that manner, but do not race in series that use cosmetic damage.
Re: TORA US Spec Miata Cup Rd 2: Suzuka East
Limited damage is the norm at TORA, as is "collisions always on". However, I have gone to "default collisions" in many series that I host due to lag issues. It creates a small buffer, not 100% but it does help some, for lag.
