Re: Lap Times
Because the sign in sheet, which you posted in for clearly states it's the layout with the uphill chicane. ie - South Layout.
Re: Lap Times
We begin tuning our cars after the previous race is over by looking at the calendar which until this week has always been the full layout of each track. The sign in doesn't become available until Monday. I work Monday through Friday so its hard for me to tuning during the week and I don't look at the sign in sheet that much because until now its always the full layout. Could which layout were running be added to the Schedule then so its clear before the week starts.

Re: Lap Times
Your tune shouldn't change just because one corner is different. I didn't find out until Monday either, but my tune hasn't changed and I'm having no issues.

Re: Lap Times
The tune is everything in these cars, so you'll lose seconds if it's not right. I'm currently running mid 38s but I hope to hit a 37.9 by race day.

Re: Lap Times
does anyone have a honda tune?
I'm in R H-R's car, I did that lap after playing the game for 40 minutes, so have time to still get!

Re: Lap Times
Zeta, are we talking about Indy? I'm running mid 38's at the moment in both the Honda and Chevy. Plan on finalizing my choice shortly.

I've seen some really low 38's at Indy, but it's right on the ragged edge. I would have averaged closer to 233.6xx had I not gotten super loose in turn 1 on my second lap

A good thing here though is that sticky grass doesn't exist so you can push a little harder than in previous Forza games without the risk of slowing dramatically

Re: Lap Times
Definitely. If I turn too hard, the front end wants to boomerang and it makes for a sketchy (and slow) ride through that turn. I was slightly quicker in the Chevy, but the prospect of repainting a car isn't exactly what I want to do.

Re: Lap Times
I know I didn't perform well at Daytona GP, but I'm flirting with 37s...not there yet, but I'm hoping to get there.
I so love ovals!!

I'm scrubbing a bit too much speed and haven't been quite able to tune it out. The Honda feels like it's a little underpowered compared to the Chevy but is more stable at full g-load

I hit about 240 in both, but the Honda doesn't get there quite as fast. I can Imagine we will push close to 250 in the draft, but there's no point testing until after qualifying.

Re: Lap Times
Has anyone hit a 37 yet? I'm no oval tuner, but it seems like the only way I hit 37s consistently is if I use the big rim build (which is illegal, of course). It's so odd that the car gains so much time from that.

Re: Lap Times
38.769 is my best in the Honda. Forza's wonderful physics like to scrub the tires at the slightest turning input. I don't think it can be fully tuned out Maybe with some downforce, but then you lose way more speed.
