Stobart to expand into GTC in early June

After a very succesful TORA Touring Car campaign, Stobart Racing will debut in the TORA GTC in early June of this year. The team will bring a host of sponsors over to the GTC, Aswell as Stobart, we will see semi-major sponsors that include Tesco 99 Octane and BARR's Soft Drinks. Minor sponsors will include Pirtek, Monroe, Dunlop and official team wear by Addidas Originals. However, this will be no unfamiliar teritory for Nicky, he scored a pole position in the B Lobby at Road Atlanta in Season 3, fighting with Selective Rogue in his Porsche 997 GT3RS for the lead throughout the race before crashing out hevaily in the closing stages. Nicky hopes to score some points this season, and doesn't expect to be challenging for wins. Testing should hopefully begin late May, early June when Nicky hopes to have his xbox sent off for repairs. The team lineup will remain Nicky only till then.

Flash Engineering to Partner Stobart Racing in TORA series

Swedish racing team Flash Engineering, owned by touring car legend Jan 'Flash' Nillson, are to parter Stobart for the 2009 seasons of GTC and TCC racing. This will bring in new sponsor 'Olsbergs Beer' as a secondary title sponsor along with Stobart.

Flash Engineering are a very succesful STCC and Porsche Carrera Cup Sweden team, and they will no doubt provide excellent support in the GTC and TCC.

Chad to start season in sole car

Chaddy will return to IOR in the GTC for the first time since the start of the 2008/09 season, he will drive the #4 Flash Engineering/Stobart car.

The Flash have high-ish hopes for GTC debut

The team look set for a fair season, Chad is an experienced GTC pilot, driving the Porsche 997 GT3RS for VMR in 2008/09 and he should deliver some solid top end finishes. Nicky will be hoping to only miss two rounds, which, in dropped rounds is only one round mssed, he hopes to score a few solid finnishes and keep it consistent, as TCC team mate Nick showed in his Ford Touring Car. Chad will run the #4 Stobart car for the first two rounds, the car will be white with stobart logos. The much anticipated Flash Engineering livery will be launched in June, along with an announcment on the teams Touring Car commitments.

SNIFF PETROL SIGNS DEAL WITH THE FLASH!

In a deal worth £69 million, and in which Ralf Schumacher was put to shame in the process, the Flash have signed with Sniff Petrol.com and the Gareth Jones on Speed Podcast. these being the brainchild of TOp Gear script edtor Richard Porter and TV presenter Gareth Jones.

Excellent listen, I really recomend it

Nicky return pushed back to early - mid June

i will be sending my xbox off just before my art exam, which is on the 5th of June, this means I will get my xbox back after my exams. My exams start next week, so I might not be as active on the forum as i am now

Nicky set for GT return

Nicky will return to the GTC in early June, some big changes will be happening with the team, we are now under the name of IOR motorsport. We probably wont be having a major sponsor, just lots of wee ones with a cool car design which should be fun to make.

If anyone wants the third seat, please, PM me and I'll see what I can do.

IRN-BRU comes aboard for the TORA GTC!

Soft drinks company BARR's soft drinks who make the infamous IRN-BRU soft drink in the west of scotland have announced that they will once again return to the car of Nicky. IRN-BRU appeared on his 207 Super 2000 in the second season of 207 Trophy racing in June of 2008.



The team announced that due to credit crunch, they will be accepting empty glass bottles to take to a loacl newsagent to get money for em for team funding

We aim to be the most phenomenal car on the grid!

IOR Phenomenal Racing set for Suzuka debut

Here at the IOR base, excitment is building for its first GTC race. We have a full driver line up, 2/3rds the same as last season, but for this season, Ricky Ray, who disapeared off the face of the earth is out, and IOR newcomer, Agression is in. Each driver will be driving a different car, the #4 of Chad will be making use of his newly built Lotus Exige, the #28 of Agression will be making use of his all new Ferrari F430 and me in the #99 will recieve a Dodge Viper GTS ACR, currently one of the best cars in the feild. IRN-BRU are onboard for each car, and our touring car team sponsor, Auto Trader has taken much interest in the GTC program, that they will be co-title sponsor with IRN-BRU. In the next few announcments, the cars will be revealed to the Public at a test session at the infamous Nordschleife in Germany.
