Today marks an exciting day for Xtreme Performance Racing (XPR), Serpent Racing and Xbox Pro League Racing (XPLR), but first, a little background:



Serpent Racing has been the personal team for XPR Roadrunner, and has had various affiliations along the way, currently finding its home at XPR. It has been run on various sites, including winning championships on Formula Forza and TORA.

Then something amazing happened, we were awarded the opportunity to represent Street and Racing Technology (SRT) online by fielding the virtual versions of the new SRT Viper GTS-R. We’ve enjoyed successes representing them, and for XPR Roadrunner, it carried over into the real world, being able to meet Ralph Gilles and some of the SRT Motorsport drivers.

Today, sees the end of an era, but the start of another. Starting today, the non-SRT departments of Serpent Racing will completely merge into XPR, while the SRT department will live on under a new name.

I would like to introduce, for the first time as an independent entity; Virtual SRT Motorsports!



All of the Serpent Racing social media have changed names to reflect this, so I welcome you to follow Virtual SRT Motorsports on twitter (will retain the old handle, as requested by SRT) @SerpentRacing, like our facebook page at www.facebook.com/Serpent.Racing.fm, and hop on over to the XPR website, http://xpracing.forumotion.co.uk/c9-virtual-srt-motorsports-hub. We will continue to represent SRT Motorsports online on Xbox in both Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Motorsport 5. We will compete in the TORA 24hrs of Nurburgring this December on Forza Motorsport 4 with two cars. We will also continue to represent the team on Xbox One in whatever way we see fit.



As for XPLR, we have a special announcement to make!
As our first official competition on Forza Motorsport 5, we will be hosting an all new series, none like any site has done before. I introduce to you, the XPLR Viper Cup Presented by SRT Motorsports!



It will feature the SRT Viper GTS-R in a cup format, very similar to the real life counterpart (The SRT Viper Cup). The competition will start in late January and run through March. We are also pleased to announce that the winner of the XPLR Viper Cup Presented by SRT Motorsports will win an SRT Prize pack, courtesy of SRT themselves. Tentatively, the prize pack is worth an estimated $300 US.
