Virtual SRT Motorsports at 12hrs of Silverstone
After a spectacular 5th place showing at Le Mans in their debut, Virtual SRT Motorsports, with XPR backing has decided to field a second Viper for the remaining TEC races.
XPR Pennzoil will be joined by XP Racing in the SRT sponsored sister car, for what will surely be a race to remember.
Team boss, Stephen Hudec (XPR Roadrunner) was quoted as saying "We really thought we were going to have trouble with race pace with just the shear speed difference at Le Mans, but we were really pleased with how well the car drafted and if it hadn't been for a couple of mechanical problems, we would have finished on podium, which is a really amazing feat for us. After that, all of us at XPR had renewed faith in the car and interest exploded for the rest of the TEC in that car".
Stephen will be joined by Rob Burley (XPR Soundwave) and Cain Piotrowski (XPR ChicaiN) and Alex Phillips (II Alex P II) on XP Racing, both of whom being Viper veterans already. The XPR Pennzoil team will be headed by Steve Colgate (XPR Moontower) and will be joined by and Thom de Bruijn (Koenigsegg R) and Calum Scholey (IRT Bubba), all of whom are also Viper vets.
In terms of expectations, we just hope for a solid outing and not getting into any trouble, as the Viper will sort its self out like it always does.
Of course you may have noticed the new paint scheme on the cars. Stephen thought it best come with a brand new paint from scratch. The old paint job is being retired and put in the Virtual SRT Motorsports Museum. The new paint scheme mostly follows the exact layout as the real versions. The three main differences are that the cars are white, but you can still see the Viper grey on the hood, showing where the teams roots come from. The third being the new angled design on the sides.
No paint job is complete without the boss man, Ralph Gilles', approval. So he took it to twitter, where it was unanimously approved by Viper faithful all over the twitterverse.
Hope to see you in our lobby(ies) and have the best of luck in September!

Nice paints But it looks like you've got a questionable ride-height going on...
