Virtual Motorsports TAL Series 3

Virtual Motorsports makes its debut on Forza Motorsport 5 with its Time Attack League, an event not only for the hot lappers but also for all those wanting to gain a greater understanding of the new tracks and finding your rival in the newly released game. Using a league based system, drivers will be competing on a weekly basis to post the best time possible within a controlled 30 minute session in order to gain the most amount of points. With simulation damage also used within the series, every lap on the track could mean the difference between being a Champ or becoming a chump!
This is a Dual-Timezone event with combined results, racing on Tuesdays at 15:00 CST / 21:00 GMT / 07:00 AEST for the EU Timeslot, and 19:00 CST / 01:00 GMT / 11:00 AEST for the US Timeslot, the series will begin with a qualifying session that uses the 2009 Honda S2000 at C-500 performance index around the Sebring Club configuration, but from then on, it's a whirlwind tour across the Tracks in Forza Motorsport 5, revisiting some of the old gems from previous games along with the new inclusions such as Spa, Yas Marina circuits & Prague layouts! There will be 2 circuits each week to race at, so prepare your car builds early! These tracks will be tackled by the 1965 Mini Cooper S, 1997 Skyline GT-R V-Spec and Chevrolet #4 Corvette Racing ZR1 at D-400, B-600 and R-900 performance index respectively ensuring a great mixture of power, drivetrains and grip that will test all taking part! A New Open Build configuration will give players unique control over what car they race, as long as the car is built to the Class Restrictions and the original drivetrain remains.

Qualifying in the the 2009 Honda S2000 will provide the initial league rankings upon which the whole series will operate with, as drivers gain more points based on their performances that will ultimately determine whether they are promoted or relegated into the above or below leagues. These league changes occur every 2 weeks (not including Qualifying) upon which a points reset and car change occur to keep the competition close and reward those who can adapt and produce the most consistently fast times. Working your way up will be no easy challenge, whether you are in League 1 or 3 and to take the title of League Champion will be thoroughly deserved!
The Time Attack League will begin with qualifying on Tuesday 28th January and run through consecutive weeks until the finale on the 18th March , providing 7 weeks of competition to prove your pace over a single lap against a variety of drivers. Producing that perfect lap time has never been so nerve testing, with every tenth meaning the difference between 1st and 21st. Sign Ups for this series will remain open throughout to allow the most amount of people the chance to compete! New Sign Ups will be placed in the lowest league running, and will still be given the chance to gain promotion.

Re: Virtual Motorsports TAL Series 3
Yeah should be a good fun factor for our first official event for FM5. We did the same with 4 and it was a blast.
