There's an XBOX Live Service Alert for "Social and Gaming".
Might be the reason for the issues of Lobby three?!

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
At first I thought you guys just need some time to sort the starting positions out, but you are already racing???
I didn't receive any invite yet, except the one before Qualifying.

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
Thanks for letting me take part in the second race at least
Finally I could kick off my TORA season for 2016 AND complete my first organised race with my steering wheel.
It was a good and (mostly) clean race. ^^
But I just found out that my lobby BETRAYED me.
They told me there are two mandatory pit stops but the rules and regulations say, that only one is mandatory. I could've easily done a one stop strategy with my Aston!
Or were the rules and regulations simply not updated after that decision was made? If so, I would like to inform you about the missing update of that topic.
See you soon

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
The rule change was in the OP in this thread with the mind to edit the rules.
Glad you had a good Race 2

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
Why was each race over 40 minutes long? The rules and regs say 25 minutes. Makes for a rather long afternoon/evening.

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
^ Yeah, way too long. The rules clearly state 25 minute races dictated by laps and that there will be ONE mandatory pit stop, That's what I signed up to, but got something completely different. 2 mandatory pit stops and two 45 minute races(almost double).
Hopefully, the lap count is corrected for round 2

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
I agree, they were long races last night, and was getting pretty late by the time we finished.
I say cut them down to around 20 minutes each with the one mandatory stop, the Alfa's just wouldn't be able to one stop in a 25 min race.
Could someone clarify if there is any restart procedure in place? I can't see anything in the rules about it. I got hit by a lag spike at the very start of race 2 last night and for future reference i would like to know if anything should get done if it happened again?

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
If the races last night were 14 race laps long every car would only need to pit once.

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
i dont think anything should change ! you guys all read the rules and the rules stipulated that each race is 22 laps ! tbh i cant see the justification in spending weeks practicing and tuning for only a 20 minute race

The rules state 25 minute races if you actually read it, which is roughly 16 laps. We were doing two 22 lap races last night, that were going way over 40 mins per race.
and TWO 20 minute races is more than enough

There will be two races in an evening, and each will last around 25 minutes (in equivalent lap number).
Race One will form up on the grid in the order in which the competitors qualified.
Race Two will form up on the grid in the order in which the competitors finished Race One.
There will be ONE mandatory pit stops during EACH race.
The pit window is between the SECOND racing lap and the PENULTIMATE racing lap. These will be indicated on the calendar.
You were saying?

Re: Round 1: Watkins Glen
I also pointed out in my lobby that there had been a wee oversight in the regs which were largely pulled across from TCC.
The OP here stated additional changes plus the calendar also stated the laps and pit windows.
The concept is for a race night to last two hours. If everything had run smoother (thanks XBL) we would have done so.
Each race was roughly 45 mins each so 90 mins of racing plus roughly 15 mins of qualifying and a 15 min turnaround is not beyond the realms of possibility when XBL plays ball.
To clarify, the rules will be amended shortly but generally everyone seemed to have a good time which is the main thing.

Wow - don't think that's called for. Actually if you talk to the majority it was a good night of racing and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Perhaps keep that sort of comment to yourself next time
