Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
make your voices heard here so this series can push forward. we had a steep drop off after round 9 after consistent 12-16 drivers each. if you have marketing idea's and would like to help step on up it is more than welcomed!
Current things that will be persued:
No more back to back races so races will take place at minimum 2 weeks after the previous event.
No more triple points rounds (Season 4 will have the 3rd annual Indy 500 if we make it that far and may be a stand alone event but still too far out to confirm).
So here's your chance guys how can this get better?

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
Louis, would you be OK with a UK run of Indycars, using your builds and format, for a 5-6 week run?
I've been approached with this proposal, and thought I'd run it past you here.

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
I have zero problems with that but someone else has to organize and run it for my sanity sake. We had a series like this being run by someone last season but it fell through as far as i know

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
Louis, it's a great series. I'm just not used to X-class cars in addition to unfamiliarity with the FM6 tracks. I raced at Daytona since I was in a race there last year.
I am not sure I would make too many drastic changes. I did enjoy my race at Daytona. I only would like to have been more competitive; though, I'm not typically a Room A driver...except, maybe, on the ovals in stock cars.

Any and all are welcome Neo regardless of skill. The thing about everyone in this series from what i have seen want their competitors to do well which i think is great. Last night mau5 gave all the honda guys a tune who wanted it which is great sportsman ship and im shure the lmr guys would gladly help out anyone with a chevy tune

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
Yeah, well, my teammate, EZT TomCat7, would share his oval tunes in FM2, FM3, and FM4. He was one of the faster oval guys. I couldn't match him even though I had his tune. I need to be able to drive with it, too. Just because the others may share a tune--I'm not criticizing that...that's awesome and great sportsmanship, as you have said--but if I cannot drive it, then it does me no good. But, that is just me. I'll never challenge anyone for a podium finish. I just don't want to be a hindrance to others.
Perhaps there needs to be more ovals in this game!!

That one is an obvious. Hunty has said he'd like to host the UK version.

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
I don't have much of an issue with the series. The only suggestion I have is to use tracks which encourage overtaking

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
8PM Saturday? I race other series at this time, but would love the chance to compete some rounds at a suitable UK time, especially this series.

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
I think moving to a UK time would help with popularity. I usually take the day off work, so it doesn't really matter to me when they are.

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
Maybe adding in a Rookie of the Year challenge would help boost registration for a lot of the races. Also maybe moving the race from Friday nights maybe to Sunday afternoons which would help get more Uk drivers in and keep as many US drivers as well.
Also maybe consider doing something similar to how the Weather tech championship does with the North American Endurance Cup of making 4 races throughout the year maybe 50 or 100 miles longer and include some type of bonus points.
And finally one option could be Project cars with them making a comeback and with them soon to be getting the IndyCar we could look into moving the series there.

Re: Indycar Season 3 suggestion thread
Moving this series to Pcars would be the worst decision since someone at Turn 10 but the Pontiac Aztek in Forza 6
On the plus side, 8pm saturday would be fantastic!
