Hello folks

I registered here some time ago (after a post on MVG) and then forgot all about it.

Used to play a lot of Forza (3&4) - mostly on a Friday (Forza Friday ). Sadly this died a long time ago. Didnt really feel the Forza 5 love at all.. (Partly because my fanatec wheel doesnt work on XB1 and partly because it just felt like 1/2 a game to me). Think I prefer the PS4 if im honest. Course my wheel doesnt work on everything on there either - works on Project cars but I just couldnt get into it at all.. Doesnt work on Drive Club.. but I do like drive club. Anyway since FM6 came out and it felt better somewhat better than 5 and so I crumbled and bought another wheel - one that does work on XB1 (A thrustmaster). Moreover I have very recently gotten back into FM6

Anyhoo - I'm not the best racer thats for sure - so its handy that i'm not fussed about coming first

That said I'm not really keen on a race if i'm 20s behind all the other racers cos I suck - cos thats not a race. Thats a time trial with other poeple - and i suspect I would just be in the way

Anyhoo - skyshadow posted about an upcoming event - so I thought I would visit and investigate - If only so I could get the tune for this race and see how well I coped and take it from there !

Welcome!! I believe I could speak for the community and tell you all skill levels are welcome here. It's not just about winning...it is a game, afterall. It is about hanging out and having a good time with like minded people.

Hi Homer and welcome back. The way the lobbies work in the races here you'll always, well 99% of the time, be battling with someone and of course the more you play with people better than you, the more you pick up and the better you get. Have a crack at Silverstone International with the Mini and let us know your time. We'll all (MVG Racing) get together soon for a group practice in the mini.

I did try the mini - laptime was around 1.20 I think. Suspect I did a slightly faster one (maybe 1.16 ish) but dirtied it so it showed me the 1.20 instead.
Was gonna try again last night but got sidetracked with other stuff. Might try again tonight.
