Hi Folks
Gamertag - WskeTango
Age - 48
Country - USA
Experience -
Real = Various karts and quads mostly two stroke open classes. Midgets up through winged sprints both 360 and 410, Various pro street cars over the years, but nothing quicker than the low 10's, and of course street racing in my younger days:)
Virtural = Ran several series over the last few months at VM, VTCC, EZT, and a couple of Flyin Mikey winter heat races. Just became assist free over the last few weeks, so I got a ways to go. Joined AOT a couple of days ago. Great club garage. Hopefully they dont kick me before obtaining a little more speed.
Interests - I am a federal and state licensed pyrotechnical expert, and I enjoy building large fireworks and displays.
Expectations - Hopefully make some freinds, not upset anyone, and finish any series I start in.
How did you hear about TORA? - Saw some of the VM regulars run a endurance event not to long ago, but Flyin Mikey convinced me to sign up.

Re: Hi Folks
Welcome to TORA, Wske. Glad to see you here. Never knew you raced Sprinters. Awesome.
It seems my plan for successful North American events may come to fruition after all
I have raced with Wske Tango a few times now, in Winter Heat and in EZT's Cobra R Cup, and he is consistent as heck and rather quick too. He was dominating the ChumpCar race when a massive lagout took him and Broom out all at once. All I know is if you are behind him waiting for a mistake, you will have a long wait.

Hi guys I'm new here too
Gamertag - mjg36
Age - 23
Country - UK
Experience -
Real = 2 x British Superkart 125 Vice champion, lap record holder at Mallory Park, Oulton Park Island, Anglesey coastal and Snetterton (old layout). Raced various top single seated drivers coming through karting including di Resta, Calado, Sims, Plowman, Conway, Hawksworth (beat them once or twice too :-D)
Virtural = Other than online quick races very little :-)
Interests - still do a bit of karting, freelance journalism work when day job allows.
Expectations - hard clean racing, not upsetting anyone
How did you hear about TORA? - Scouting round for an Xbox online series this came highly recommended.
Few quick questions:
Registering for series, how?
Picking a number?
Series graphics for cars?
Probably on here but as I'm registering on my tea break at work haven't had chance to look.
Look forward to racing with you all
Michael

Re: Hi Folks
Nice to see you here in the virtual world mjg36 Michael. I'm from the states, but know the series your from. I raced in the PKA be it many years ago. Best I came across in karting was a feller named Scott Pruett. We ran against him at Quincy Ill in the nationals a couple of times. Never did win it. Didn’t have shifters in those days, or liquid cooling. Could only dig about 40 to 50 hp out of the engines, but they were a handfull all the same. Use to hate hay bales, now its lagouts. lol Always something. I’m new here also, hopefully we will meet up in a race together at some point. Take some time and dig through the threads, and you will find all the answers to your questions. Although it might be late for you in the UK the Miata Series by Flyin Mikey has some good guys that will be there. Its worth a look. Thanks for the encouraging words from everyone. Take Care

Re: Hi Folks
Where I did my little venture into karting, in a borrowed kart that a buddy had outgrown, the most famous kid was Brian Herta. But I did race stock cars with Ron Hornaday and Kevin Harvick.
Re: Hi Folks
Those are some pretty awsome folks to have raced against. You are very fortunate to have shared a track with any 1 of the 3. I would say we ran simular equipment if you raced Herta as a kid. He came along not to many years after I left karts. Pruett was a little older, and the king in my day. He was like a Takumi with a racing kart. lol. Good times.
