1:45.049 I can definitely get the Vette into 44s if I manage to string everything together, but it looks like most of my laps will be in the 45s

bit rusty but did manged a 1.49.7 so there might be more time to eek out of the car before the race its self.

There are a couple things you can keep in mind when tuning:
1. Set the radiator to 0% as it will give you some more speed and it won't damage your car with Mechanical Failures off.
2. Set the Brake Duct somewhere between 40-50% to improve your braking. We're racing in the evening so they don't need as much air to cool.

my front (L) tyres are roasted after my warm up lap?
Tried increasing pressure, but no luck
I'm slamming on brakes, is that an issue?

Braking shouldn't be an issue. If you'd like I can run a session with you and help with a basic setup.
