Round 3: Hockenheim
Time for some flat out running near some forests where there used to be some flat out running!
All discussion on Round 3 in here please.
NOTES:
As mentioned previously, start procedure is essential.
Lead drivers must go no more that 100mph on the warm up lap. In the final corners where the grid will form up this MUST be dropped to 60mph.
Additionally, the pole sitter must confirm in the lobby which side they intend to use for pole position. This reduces confusion and speeds up the forming up process.
Rather than a 3-2-1 the race will start as cars cross the S/F line and not before. There must be no overtaking before the S/F line.
Safety Car update:
To confirrn, when an SC is called all cars must form up single file and maintain position until the host can confirm the obstruction is clear. At the end of the 'clear' lap cars will recommence racing once at the S/F line. Again, no overtaking until you have crossed the line.
If you miss an SC call and overtake it is essential you drop back to your previous position. Listen carefully to other drivers and the host to confirm positions etc if you are unsure.

Does this mean that the race starts, as soon as the first placed crosses the Start/Finish-Line or that the race starts for each driver individually as soon as he crosses the line himself?
Just want to make sure I understood it right ^^

Re: Round 3: Hockenheim
Effectively the 'race' (whereby you can overtake etc) starts when YOU cross the line.
Re: Round 3: Hockenheim

Re: Round 3: Hockenheim
Fantastic racing in B Lobby guys.
Close battles throughout and some really good use of pitstop strategies. Had some mega tussles with a number of drivers and just proves that you can have side by side racing for multiple corners WITHOUT making contact

Re: Round 3: Hockenheim
Front of A lobby seemed to be a full-on battle behind Hamish, me and the Redlab cars all tried pit strategies to overcome one another but in the end the race 1 podium was decided by an on-track battle between me and DTechR, and Race 2 was a similar battle but eventually decided by lagouts. I heard that there were problems further back in the field for one or two cars, but an otherwise nice night of racing
