Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
The team entry sheet shows one box for main sponsor, does this mean all cars in a team must have the same livery/main sponsor?

Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
Will there be the 2 25 lappers to sort the Daytona grid for round 1?
Like TASCAR at Sunset in previous years

Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
If everyone is fine with the "Speedweeks" style Qualifying for the Daytona 500 built into the night of the Race, then that can be done.

Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
I, along with some other people in the UK, would probably prefer to not do all that on the same night. It'd be much better if it was the week before or not at all!
Already bound to be a long night with the 500 mile race, let alone two 25 lap races and then the grid sorting!

Tascar Qualifying Thoughts
Listed below is basically how "Speedweeks" style qualifying would go, and it only adds 45 minutes to an hour to the total time. The way I see it, and I'm sure others would agree, is that you already have the entire night/day dedicated to this 500-mile race, why would we not qualify as they do in NASCAR today? I enjoy the simulation aspect of organized virtual racing, all the way down to the in-car-view, so it would disappoint me greatly to miss out on any opportunity for complete immersion. Just my two cents.
On tracks 1.25 miles or greater in length:
The first qualifying elimination round will be 25 minutes in duration. The 24 drivers that post the fastest single lap from the first qualifying round will advance to the second round.
The remaining drivers will be sorted based on their times posted in the first round of qualifying in descending order.
The second qualifying elimination round will be 10 minutes in duration and the 12 drivers that post the fastest single lap time will advance to the third and final round. The fastest remaining drivers earn positions 13-24 based on their times posted.
The third and final qualifying round will be five minutes in duration and the fastest single lap time will determine positions 1-12 on the starting grid.
Between each session will be a five-minute break where teams are permitted to make adjustments, though teams are allotted just one set of tires. All adjustments must be made on pit road, and refueling is prohibited.
Drafting is allowed at the restrictor-plate tracks of Daytona and Talladega.
On tracks 1.25 miles or less in length:
The first qualifying elimination round will be 30 minutes in duration and includes all drivers. The 12 drivers that post the fastest single lap time from the first qualifying round will advance to the second and final round.
The drivers will be sorted based on their times posted in the first round of qualifying in descending order.
There will be a 10-minute break between the two qualifying rounds.

Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
The event starts at 10PM UK time (Probably after due to late-comers), the race could last 2 - 3 hours IF there are not gaps between segments. That could take it up to 1AM - adding another 45 minutes would be awful - if we're going to have anything other than 2 flying laps of qualifying, it could drag the event on to ridiculously late for us lot so either the start time needs to be earlier or the qualifying needs to be quick (and for Daytona, a week earlier last previous seasons)

Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
That would be great, as your format would be the dream format for qualifying if we had the time to run it (albeit without the adjustments made on pit-road and the limitation of one set of tyres, as you can't make adjustments on pit-road - you have to leave the session and the lobby and do it in the tuning menu)

Re: TORA TASCAR Season 5 - General Discussion
I saw that too, but just figured it would go without saying. I think it would be great as well. To be completely honest, I'm okay with however it plays out.
