Post by Ax4x Mikey J Thu 21 Jul 2016 - 16:31

Welcome to the TORA American Iron UK Series!

Over the past few months, we've worked on rebalancing the carlist, and found a different PI seems to work well. Some cars that weren't up to pace now are, some that were deemed too fast now aren't, and some that weren't able to make the cut before now can.

AND... to address the concern that the field was spreading out too quickly, leading to a long Hotlapping session, we've decided to Reverse the Grid. The fast cars will now start at the rear. To discourage any attempts of sandbagging, we've implemented "Passing Points", a bonus point for each position gained over the course of the race.

We hope to bring you even more variety in competition and strategy, all while enjoying the fun of manhandling the beast that is a 3000 Lb 450HP Muscle Car.

I have built and tuned the 69 nova, the 67 nova II, the 73 GTO and the 69 GTO Judge. I was able to get mid 1.42's in all without tuning so the pace difference wasn't as spread, although, the 67 Nova was short on PI , an engine swap may be needed make the 630. I'm going with the GTO judge as I have spent more time on it and I'm lapping quite well now in it. What's anyone else built and tested at Sonoma? Or any of the other tracks?

Same time yes, not the same day. ABRC (Ambitious but Rubbish Championship) i.e. Community Poll Championship, runs on Wednesdays. This runs on Thursdays.

If you go to the forum homepage, it says "wednesdays at 20:00 BST".

That's what was intended. They just need to shift their calendar back one day for each event, just an error. Don't think they'd purposefully run 2 events at the same time that are both in the Pit Lane.

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for my livery, I think it glitched on my end because it was showing on my screen, but I'll get it sorted for next week (hopefully). I thought some of the driving out there was awful, attempt 2 someone at the back piledrived everyone, and then attempt 3 was better but people were very agressive on the start. I got bumped many, many times, and went off course because of being squeezed. My rear end had more elavation change than the Nurburgring. And then after all that, I disconnected. My car was alright and my teamate was leading, and I feel kinds bad for not backing them up. But I'll be there next week to have a better time of it
